Strange... Have you tried to reboot both the Homepods and the Apple TV.
Yeah....I can see now as I have moved the Apple TV into the same room as homepods on HomeKit app.....I still cannot see atmos anywhere

I just had this problem....is your Apple TV in the same room as your homepods in the HomeKit app?

This is very important as well.

Fantastic sound, surprisingly full, robust, spatial and immersive. Tried with a bunch of Netflix and Disney titles. Wasn´t expecting anything, but, i´m impressed.

Try this. Go to the Home app on your Iphone. Your Apple TV should appear there, along with your Homepods. Click on the Apple TV card and in the menu that will pop up you should see a default audio toggle. Select the Homepods.
Wierd. My Apple TV doesn’t show up in the Home app for me. Result of tvOS beta perhaps?

The “What’s My Update” feature isn’t working for me. Siri tells me I should get my response from my iPhone instead. I also cannot get the news from the HomePod anymore. Siri says there’s a problem and that I should try again. Anyone experiencing either of these issues?

You need to change your settings for authentication needed for personal requests in the home app to never. Then it works.

It appears that there is no visual indication as with the spatial audio feature of the Airpods Pro, but you should see the atmos logo on titles which have it. Try something from Netflix, Disney, or Apple TV+ with Atmos. How it sounds?

Did the update take away the option to select output "HomePod" in settings on Apple TV 4th gen? I can't find this setting anywhere now.

Do you have the Apple TV audio output set to Auto and Atmos ON? Do you see the Immersive audio option there?.
No I have none of these options

Now that I have spent a small fortune on a new LG OLED 77 inch TV and a Sonos Arc, Bass for the living room and a Sonos Beam for Master Bedroom. ALL IN THE LAST WEEK!!! Here comes Apple FINALLY doing Home Theater - Sheeeeeeesh
Enjoying LG? Did you get the CX? Mine is being delivered next week.

Ok.

Stupid question but I have to ask:

¿Do you guys have the Apple TV 4K?. If you have the Apple TV 4/HD, this won´t work.

Also, just noticed that if I turn off Dolby Atmos from the audio settings of my TV, Atmos doesn´t appear in the Apple TV as an option, even when I have the Hompods selected as the default audio output.

Does your TV set support Atmos?. It shouldn´t be a requirement, but based on what im seeing, perhaps it is.

Disable change format. Atmos should now appears, if you have the Homepods set up as the default audio option of the Apple TV.
Definitely set up as default but no immersive anywhere

Doing "B). Make sure that the Homepods and the Apple TV are in the same room (via the Home app) as the Apple TV" makes all the difference if anyone else is having issues with this. My Apple TV was in "Living Room TV" with my Apple TV and the Homekit TV. My HomePods were in "Living Room Audio" with other homekit Audio devices. Created a new "Living Room Entertainment" and dumped them all in it and now the Apple TV sees the HomePods as a Default Audio Source

Great.

This is the same as me. Tried everything. Can someone who hasn’t got an atmos enabled tv confirm it has worked for them?

Yup. (EDIT, misread your post, Sorry).

Qupting myself:

Nevertheless, like I said, it should sound better with just regular 5.1 tracks. Have you tried it?. If so, how it sound for you?. Better than before the update?.

How does it sound?. Shpuld great just regular 5.1 tracks as well. Try to stream something.

Do your TV set support Atmos?. If you go to an Atmos title on Apple TV+, Disney+, or Netflix?. do you see the Atmos logo?.
My Apple TV does and the homepods are through the Apple TV...however this atmos logo on Bruce Springsteen did not show earlier but is does now

Fantastic! Now the important part... how does it sound to you?.

I´m definitely seeing the Atmos logo in Netflix and Disney. Try force quitting the apps and reopening them.
Do the numbers in brackets mean I am on an iOS beta?
