Hello there people... It's nice to be among you...

Here are the details that I have until now regarding my order.

I tried tracking my order through http://www.tnt.com/
I used my order number (I know this is not the one, but I gave it a shot anyway).
I used Carrier Tracking Number and I got this message in TNT. (Not Found).

How can I check the progress of my order's shipping.

Thank you all and I appreciate your help.

the tnt site does not seam to update quickly, last night I had the delivery and tracking number to be the same, this morning they were different, it does say you should allow 24 hours for the systems to align (catch up)

today using this new Carrier Tracking Number on the tnt site i can see my delivery status :D but its only 'Shipped From Originating Depot' :( not that i refresh it a lot....

The tracking number changed and this is what I am getting now.

Mine too. The Apecode site now shows...

30 okt 06 32 05 Flight Booked Apple Shanghai 06 nov 06
27 okt 06 30 61 Consignment Booking received from supplier Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 06 nov 06
26 okt 06 00 04 Picking confirmed, EDI received Apple Shanghai
26 okt 06 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 06 nov 06

I missed the column headers, the 6 Nov is the ETA.

Does your delivery number start with 80xxxxx? It must if it's to work on either apecode or TNT.

Delivery reference # is 80xxxxxxx
Carrier Tracking # is 26xxxxxxxxx (consignment # in TNT tracking website)

I tried them and they both worked fine in tnt tracking site, but non of them worked in http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/ Any idea why?

This is what I get: Tracking status for 80xxxxxxxx and that's about it, nothing else.

[Edit] tried I.E. 7 and still nothing.[/Edit]

Your shipping looks different. Your ETA is the 1st November whilst mine is the 6th. How did you get such quick shipping? I thought all orders to the UK were done by the same slow shipping method, and that there was no option to get it done faster.

I have no idea. I ordered the mid-range MBP, HE discount. Basic no changes to it.

Yesterday I received an e-mail to inform me of its shipping. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.

I still can't figure out the tracking. Any help.

That's an interesting little complex you've got there. Completely ridiculous, of course.

You should have gotten the Dell monitor and thought "Hey! I'm matching a quality laptop with a quality display!" Now there's a match that actually matters. I sure hope you didn't get the laptop just because it's pretty.

A lot of people think Mac users are just superficial, trendy people. It's people like you who give us a bad name. I didn't get my Apple laptop because it's shiny and pretty like you probably did, but because of the first-rate OS and hardware quality.

Maybe you should go get yourself an Acer laptop and CRT monitor and bedazzle it.

My thoughts were more along the lines of "Hey I've got this brand new, powerful, really slick laptop and I want a display...Hey here's a kick-ass display that was MADE for it"

I did read every review and showdown between the Dell and the Apple display I could find, because honestly, the Dell's connectivity features are very very tempting. But in every review, the Apple came out on top with just pure visual quality, both on screen and off.

For me, I would rather put that $520 towards my computer setup to make it both look better and be top quality. I don't spend thousands of dollars adding ground effects kits to my car, and some people do. I think this is all down to personal preference.

And although I may have seemed a little crazy earlier, I am usually only like this with the devices that I use the most. Not all the silverware I have is the same kind, the bedroom TV and DVD are not the same brand etc...

When I sit down at my desk and see that monitor, I am happy about my purchase, and I am afraid that with the Dell I might always regret/wonder about how it would be with the Apple, after staring at them in Apple stores for over a year.

I'm ecstatic to be getting my MBP with this monitor. nuff said. :D

I ordered at 7:53 am PST on the 24th and it hasn't shipped yet :(

People keep saying theirs is shipping early but so far mine is still scheduled for the 30th, delivery Nov 2nd.

Only option was the Glossy.

walshb6413, I personlly agree 98% (that's a joke, it's 100% - but I would still think about saving the $ for at least a few fleeting instants). Someone earlier (you?) posted they don't buy Apple blindly, I agree. If they made junk I wouldn't get it. But we don't have that problem, a great deal of what Apple turns out is very solid, just on specs - MBP included. But Apple doesn't win all the design accolades for nothing. It is certainly a case-by-case personal decision regarding what that design is worth - but to say that someone is crazy to value that design (considering monitors are otherwise equal, which they may not be, I don't know personally) isn't fair. I don't think either decision can be made by someone else and I think each position is defenseable. Personally I'm with you on this one - the design has a value I'm willing to pay for.

Congratulations on your new MacBook Pro's guys, I was waiting for one too, but I had to sell my older PB in august, so I had to buy a MacBook Pro 17", and I have to say I'm very pleased with it, I wish I had buy one of this C2Duo, but, I'm very, very happy with this one.

The only big difference I see between this two is the 2.33 processor (39% faster), and a bigger HD, beyond that, I'm done.

Again congratulations.:)

Just got a call from the Apple Store.
They have my MBP ready for pickup!!! :D
Cant wait to get off from work and get my first Mac. I hope i drive carefully! :p

Exactly. And I've had the cash to get the MBP since Aug (Multmedia may remember when I thought my parents had sent me a MBP that turned out to be a check for a 17"'s price) So I ave had plenty of time to decide on my display choice, and so save up some more money for the display. I know it's crazy and extravagant for a small timer like me to have one, but the Oooo factor from both myself and anyone that sees it is priceless. :p

Has anyone here ordered the 17-inch Core 2 Duo Mac Book Pro? I'm curious what your estimated shipping & arrival dates are.

Apple is saying I'm not getting mine until November 15th. This seems very late and I am very frustrated. I want to know if anyone else has earlier dates for similar specs.

If so, I can use this information to (hopefully) convince them to ship earlier.

I ordered my 17" at about 10am ET on Tuesday. My ship date is November 7.

My accessories have already been shipped out and should be arriving today.

BTW, I ordered a matte display, upgraded to the 3Gb of RAM, and stayed with the 160Gb drive.

Gavin.

Shipment Company

Can anyone who has received their Macbook Pro tell me what shipping company apple uses?

Same here - I completed my order about 30 minutes ahead of you according to Apple's order status. I ordered the 15" 2.33, 2GB 160GB, Glossy. So far, I have yet to see anyone reporting a glossy screen as shipped. I think glossy will probably be in the next production wave and are lagging behind the first group by a few days. I just hope mine arrives next wednesday/thursday like the estimate says.

Thats the way i thought before getting my Dell. However to this day i dont regret getting it. The current Apple displays don't tempt me that much to be honest. Maybe when they're updated......

I ordered my MBP yesterday morning. I ordered the stock base model with a matte screen, and it's estimated to ship by Oct. 31st, Halloween!

I used my ADC student discount, so I'm guessing that it might take longer, because they'll probably have to call my school to verify that I'm a student.

Just got off the phone with Apple and it looks like i wont be getting my machine till tuesday. Not bad but i wish it was the weekend so i could play with it. If it comes on tuesday, i wont be able to touch it as i'll be extremely busy. Ugh!

I probably should have bought from a brick/mortar store but the way they handle discounts are weird, they always seem to charge up to £5 extra than an online price eg. say something is £500 with HE discount online, i can expect to pay anywhere from 505 up to £530 at a brick store with the same supposed HE discount. Go figure.

I have to admit I'm jealous. How are UK people getting their machines delivered so quickly? Apple state that UK shipping typically takes 7-10 business days. If you get it on Tuesday that's only 4 business days, and far faster shipping than I've ever seen from China to the UK by Apple.

Hey everyone - been out of pocket for a while since my MBP CD came in...

Anyone know if the C2D's have been released yet? ;)
