why is there no way to do update normally like every other device it takes ages to just see if it updates

Because if it weren't for Marumors you would never know about it and it would just update and nobody would be any the wiser. 90% of the people who own Airpods will get it updated and never know about it.

This close to after the product release? YES! This isn't a bug that cropped up after long term extended use or after a change in a production or internal parts supplier change.
What do you mean with "this?" The article says that it's currently yet unknown what was patched, fixed or added with this new firmware. Your posts seem to imply as if there's a huge issue with the original firmware/usability the Pro's shipped with.

My Airpods Pro have 2 issues. They are unreliable when connecting to my Apple Watch 4 and I occasionally get the red exclamation point issue. I hope this firmware fixes those issues.

We don't know that this even fixes any bugs. And as someone in software development, you can build something, test the living crap out of it or a month, and as soon as a user gets there hands on it they try something that was never thought of in a month of testing. Its nice that they can address these issues with an update.

Out of the millions who love them, you are the one
nah me as well I returned them, AirPods 2 sound louder and more punch, the auto eq they done isn't good, I don't want it telling me how it should sound

Where did you find foam tips for Airpod Pros?

They aren't loud enough even with noise cancelling on? I don't think I've ever listened to anything on gen 2 or the Pros above about 75%, except if I'm watching a really quiet video.

Agreed. With OG and Gen 2 I had to keep them on 75% to just barely overcome NYC streets and commuting.

The new Pro’s with or without ANC I can keep them just over 50% volume and hear just fine with plenty of upward range if I should need it.

Interesting note, just yesterday I had ANC on and I was walking near the commuter train I just exited and the locomotive made a real loud noise. I could actually hear the AirPod adjust the ANC to squash (as best as possible) the noise coming in. Interesting experience.

Found these. Not ordered them. Sorry those are for the original airpods. Not the Pros.

This. Foam tips will solve many problems.
I just wish that you could tweak the EQ for the AirPods (or at least provide custom EQ option for Apple Music). I get a perfect seal with the large tips, but they are too bass/mid heavy and kill the highs. I can make them sound amazing in Spotify by raising the highs a bit, but on Apple Music everything sounds muddled.

There's actually long delay b/n manufacturing to market sale. A purchase on release day may have had weeks of lead time from manufacture to transport. As such, a narrow sense of time is just a lack of perspective and understanding.

I agree. They need to take a page from Jaybird's playbook. Fantastic eq app. https://ksassets.timeincuk.net/wp/uploads/sites/54/2017/09/IMG_0192.jpg

cUrious to know what is fixed. I've had the issue where using ONE APP, the other one in the case is still getting audio routed to it and it drains it down and drains down the battery case
