A lot of people saying the whole no 13th floor thing is for horror movies and not actually a thing in the US. Just for fun, I checked my works elevator in Atlanta, GA. To my surprise, there is no 13th floor.

Mail is absolutely atrocious right now. I do not get an unread badge on the app icon even though it's enabled, when a message is received and the app is opened, there will be a blank space where the email is. You can click it and open it, but it's just a blank space. Notifications are very slow to come with mail as well. It's a hot damn mess right now.
The unread count seems to be working correctly - at least for now. I went in and did a mix of things on multiple accounts (mark as read, delete, etc.) - unread count updated immediately and correctly, even for the work Exchange account. Mails are still very slow to load, but really long threads seem to be fetched/displayed already. But I’m sure the code will taint and corrupt itself in a few days and things will start to malfunction again.

Sorry, I spoke too soon. Can someone insert that South Park meme here - the unread count was correct ... aaaaand, it’s gone!

While it seems odd, this is not unexpected to me at all. iOS 13.0 is a disaster and since beta 2 I've known that this was going to be a bomb of a release. And clearly they know it, because they are going to move right past 13.0 (never releasing it to the general public) and skip to 13.1 which will be the bare minimum for public consumption.

Check airplane rows. No 13th row of seats either. We been skipping 13 in the States since forever. However, long that is. :)

That's interesting. Ive been on all the public betas on my 2018 12.9 iPad. I still have some mail issues but PadOS has worked well for me. Each public beta has fixed the issues I had. Notes app had a weird "shutter" and I had the occasional reboot. Those went away two public betas ago. That's all on my main device.

What issues have you encountered that have been disastrous?

I am so confused right now... lol

Exactly!

So, if you don't want to do .x betas you should probably remove the developer profile now and wait for the GM?

There should be some kind of road sign no? For those wanting .x betas click here, for those just interested in the initial release betas click here? What will people do when they migrate to new phones? Will they have to put a developer beta on them before they can migrate?

They had betas for two different versions of an OS out before. Releasing a 13.1 beta thus is far from proof that they will skip 13.0. They've just moved some featured into 13.1, to make it easier for what remains in iOS 13 to get more polished.

And how many examples from the software world do you have of skipping version 13 (or x.13)?

I've gotten to the last beta, downloaded the GM, and then realized I hadn't changed my profile and gotten the .1 beta, but this I've never seen. This series of betas has serious bugs until the last couple of releases. I want to be able to stream videos from iCloud without downloading, like you can do with iCloud.com.

A video I took on my iPhone last night (counting down to the WoW Classic release, if anyone's interested to know), has somehow appeared on my iPad as well. I don't use iCloud Photos - can someone tell me what's going on? Noticed it right after I updated both devices to 13.1, hence the question in this thread.

Hmm... well this is interesting.

If this is indeed a mistake and Apple ends up pulling it later on, will we still be able to update to future 13.0 betas?

This is something I haven’t seen before.

Releasing 13.1 beta before releasing 13.0 GM, on the same profile as 13.0, is all the proof you need. If that doesn't make it clear to you, then you just don't want to see it I guess.

Still two major problems with the iPadOS dock:
  • You still cannot rearrange icons in folders that are in your dock. It puts the icon on the home screen. You have to drag the folder onto the home screen and then move the icon back into the folder.
  • Multitasking with apps that are in folders on the dock is still broken and has been since about DB4. You used to be able to tap a folder in the dock to open it and then drag and app inside that folder for multitasking. Still broken here.
And - you cannot use any of Apps in folders in the doch for for iOS multitasking gestures (Split View / Slide Over) -
This behavior is getting a little better in the recent 3 Betas - before it crashed the whole iPadOS.

Curios if they will make Workouts it in the GM
