The only issue I’ve had with the PB is with Do Not Disturb when Driving. Once I get to my destination, the phone turns off DND, but the Apple Watch Series 3 LTE (5.2.1) will stay in DND. You can either toggle it off on the watch itself or turn DND on/off on the iPhone. I’ve left feedback on that. Everything else works just fine.

Beware if you use iCloud for calendars and reminders.
You cannot acces your reminders through iCloud.com anymore. Not even after a rollback to iOS12 or a reminder restore.
Also my calendars stopped syncing and gave an ‘your account is locked for maintenance’ all the time when accessing calendars from iCloud.com
So if you use iCloud.com a lot to manage stuff be aware that it is not compatible with iOS13. Same issues with beta.icloud.com

Has anyone else experienced this? I only use iCloud calendars, so losing the syncing would be terrible. (I don't use icloud.com to access any of these, so that's less of a concern to me)

So has anyone not been able to get iPadOS installed fully? On my 10.5 iPad Pro, it seems to load and gets to a screen with just the Apple logo and then nothing more. I let it sit for 3 hours and not change. Any thoughts?

Hopefully you reported this, no?

That’s fair - but knowing public, it’s safe to assume they’re going to do things in a manner that’s characteristically ‘unknowing’. Ever heard someone say ‘gee, I had no idea ....’?

Yeah sure but they have to willingly download the beta, install the profile and a lot of steps. So you can't really blame Apple when they strongly advise against it.

If this public beta is the same build as DP2, then god help Apple. No way DP2 is even remotely close to being a daily driver. The ‘thrillseeker’ warning with the DP builds is almost comically misleading too. If they want the ‘public’ to test this, it needs to be a significantly newer (and stable) build vs. the current DP2 - otherwise, people are going to start losing it within minutes of installation when they realize core functionality (calls/reception, scrolling lists, dark mode anomalies, etc) is half baked, stock apps such as Mail are beyond broken, and the overall experience is ways off from what you would expect from a public beta.
Of course it is not close to a daily driver, any one who uses Beta software on a primary device that they rely on needs to get their bumps felt. If you understand the risks for using Beta software you can contribute to making the finished release a better product.

If on the other hand you just want to post on these forums about how buggy and unreliable it is then it is not for you and I advise you steer well clear.

Yes, including many in this thread. External storage works fine in iPadOS with Lightning iPads, but you’ll need an adapter, with external power support too.

A good solution is Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. That provides a USB 3 port along with a Lightning power pass-through port.

My Samsung T5 SSD works fine with the above adapter, on my iPhone SE with iOS 13. (I haven't installed iPadOS 13 on my iPad Pro 10.5" yet.)

Perhaps once iOS 13 is officially released, someone will sell a Lightning flash drive that doesn't need an adapter, that works with the Files app natively. There are Lightning flash drives available right now, but they only work with their propietary apps and apparently do not work with the Files app.
Yeah there are many but not good ones i think i will go with this apple connector
[doublepost=1561478528][/doublepost]Will these icons be this small in ipados forever not liking these
And there is no way to change the size too

Generally happy with iOS13, but not liking the new success message when reading NFC tags. I know the device read something on iOS12, because the phone vibrates. I don't need a graphic consuming half the screen if I'm scanning 10 times a day, trying to read the actual data from the scan.

I'll put in some feedback to them. Give us an option to hide the confirmed read message.

Couple of weird keyboard things in messenger blocking out some of the keyboard. Also I must of accidentally slipped into having 2 Safari's open dual screen and couldn’t do anything, swipe up was nonfunctional, couldn’t close safari, Couldn’t close the screens. I hadn’t done a hard reset on my iPad Pro 2018. All is well after 8 did that.
Like dark mode and the font increase in Safari, remembers each site

My one big takeout from iOS iPadOS 13 so far is how many video streaming apps I've had to deny access to Bluetooth - it seems like they are all requesting it so I wonder if there is a common library they are using somewhere in their depths...
They most likely need it to stream to Bluetooth headphones or speakers

I’ve taken to this forum to express my point of view, which is very different from complaining. It is my personal opinion that the DP2 build is not fit to be released as a public beta. I’ve been testing iOS betas since iOS 5, so I certainly don’t need your advice in that regard.

I completely agree - they do need to willingly download and install the beta. My point, however, is that they will complain anyway, and more so in the case at hand, given how atrociously broken everything is in the current build of iOS 13.

Are the Photos app features in this Public Beta or am I the only one that doesn't have the new High-Key Mono effect and the Portrait Lighting adjustments? It's supposed to work on the iPhone X right?

I had the developer beta, but it installed fine on my 9.7" iPad Pro a few weeks ago. People are reporting that if you have a huge photo library, that it can take a long time for iOS to boot, but I would say 3 hours is way too long.

I would put it in recovery mode and either go back to iOS 12 (if you have a backup) or if you want to try iPadOS again, do that. It has installed on countless other iPads, as you can see by people reporting in the forums, so you probably had a glitch during install.

Good-luck, and sorry this happened. Apple should not have released this to the public as this is more like an "alpha build" vs. a beta build.

I can see it on my XR so it could be that it is only available on the XR / XS models and not the original X...

Edit: That said it only seems to be an option on the front facing camera not the rear...

I am almost positive the iPhone X does not get any of that as those features are for anything above the iPhone X. Which even though I have a XS, I still have my X and definitely think the camera could handle those features! It is just Apple trying to get people to upgrade.

However, definitely check because as I indicated I am not 100% sure about those features being exclusively XR/XS.

Finally bit the bullet and installed iPadOS 13 on my iPad Pro. I've played around with it for about a half hour and other than some bugs here and there, my iPad is still very usable. Thankfully Hulu, Netflix, NY Times and The Athletic apps work without any issue - I had planned to immediately go back to iOS 12 if the aforementioned apps didn't work.

I'll keep playing around with the software. I may eventually revert back to iOS 12, but I'm enjoying the new features thus far.

It looks like those are XR / XS exclusive features. I tried using front facing camera and it didn't work either. Thanks ;)

I think you're right. It has to be the new Image Signal Processor in the A12 chip, Smart HDR (and also like you say, getting people to upgrade). The camera didn't change significantly. Thanks for the reply.
