Pretty weak on Apple's part removing iCloud iMessages tbh.

Syncing issue.

Mine appeared to sync but not across all devices. Only a combination of reducing save messages from forever to 30 days, going to manage data, and deleting the message data, deleting each remaining message, and then a couple times of rebooting the device and deleting any messages that popped up kinda cured my issues. In the end, the newer messages seem to sync across devices but the sync date stamp was stuck in mid July.

It will return, hopefully fixed.

Think I’ll stick with pb3 on my 10.5” for a bit longer, or at least till I hear more feedback. Experienced virtually no issues with it, been very stable for my useage. The only repeated bug I’ve seen through natural use (as oppose to reading about then testing known issues) is the settings page crashing a few times and, rarely, home screen lag.
Can you skip a PB? Because I’m considering it

I installed the previous public beta, but downgraded back to 10 a few hours later. Performance is just terrible (on a 6s Plus). I know of course that this is a beta, but I didn't feel much performance downgrades in the iOS 10 betas. Hope it's not a sign for the final release.

I've been running the PB of 11 since it was first realeased, on my daily driver, a 6 Plus. It's had issues, but nothing too bad, primarily a sluggish response with app launching, and with taps within apps. I also had occasional app crashes, but nothing too horrible.

This new PB, as trite as it sounds, is far snappier.

Things generally respond like they used to in 10, with occasional lags. I'm pleased.

I really don't see the issues others are having. I guess I've just been lucky so far. #KOW

Installed on my iPad Pro 9.5, running very smoothly. But i’ve only been using it for an hour, so time will tell. I’m so impatient, i wanna install on my iPhone 7 Plus, but i know its not recommend as its my daily driver.
Bogus. There is no 9.5 iPad Pro.

People that keep saying it’s a beta yes it is but public beta should not be this messy nearly a month till public iOS 11 isn’t that much changed to 10 so they should have just built it upwards not this bad so on this forum ppl moan when you say it’s bad but it’s true beta 4 was good now it’s got wrose
That's the way betas work.

I was in the iOS 9 beta, and it was horrible on my 5s all the way till the final patch itself, which exhibited none of the problems of poor battery life and overheating.

I say again - a beta is not a way to gain early access to software features. If you can't or won't deal with the drawbacks that come with running a beta on your Apple devices, then don't install it. You aren't doing anything a service here with your whining and complaining.

This beta fixes a few errors that i've been having. 1 when you select an article in "News" to send to a contact you don't have to tap the button (up arrow) to initiate this multiple times. 2. when searching for a contact to send a message to the first contact is no longer hidden. 3. Evite now works.
This was fixed in the previous beta for me.

Actually working pretty well on iPad mini 4. No re-springs or lockups. A few 3rd party apps that were not working correctly now are. Pretty responsive and no lag (after letting it settle in a bit). Installed DB yesterday not today's PB. Previous betas were a mess for me and stuff didnt work. B4 fixed a lot and now b5 fixed even more. Not sure where the "this is a terrible mess" posts are coming from. Still waiting on iPhone though. Nothing really in 11 I cannot live without and finally off betas on that device since 10.3.3 and its nice. :)

Okay, so far, running damn smooth on an iPhone SE, and even better on a 10" iPP! Not bad at all for a 4th PB. Keep up those feedbacks, because I've seen some issues I've sent (and others have sent as well, I'm sure) get fixed. One nagging issue was that the Watch was on iOS 10, but the iPhone on PB3, and there was serious battery drain on the watch. It was nuts! But, it's since been fixed, and battery life seems to be top notch again. Good work, Apple!

Has anyone noticed that whit PB4 anytime you have audio playing through an app which is not launched on the screen the phone crashes within 30 seconds, everytime? I tried in spotify, cast, apple podcasts and others. Highly annoying. Regretting downloading PB4.

Meanwhile, what you actually said in the DP4 thread was

Is speed like animations closing opening apps faster or same

Installed on second device to try it and shutting an app still has a second delay on ios 10 its instant to shut it this is putting me off having it as a daily driver and still stuttering all over the place

No offense, but you're not cut out for running betas.

I just updated to the new Public Beta 4 and it is much better than Beta 3. Far more responsive and they fixed the bug with the app switcher where it would flip back to the current app. Safari is still horribly slow. I'm on an iPhone 6.

Just locked up. Couldn’t launch any apps. Had to hard reboot. Couldn’t even shut off iPhone by holding power button. Had to use the power + volume down method.
