My 7+ and my wife's 7 are both on AT&T, and reception has been out of whack since 10.0.3.

Before upgrading, I had a 6s+ and my wife had a 5s. At our house we used to get full bars of signal, and it was still fine when we upgraded to the 7+ and 7 all the way up to 10.0.2. But when 10.0.3 came out to help with the issues Verizon customers were having, it really messed up our service. Now at our house it sits at ONE bar, and sometimes two.

So Apple, trying to fix Verizon's issues totally messed up mine on AT&T!!! They didn't need to mess with the AT&T modem as much being as hardly anyone had issues with the new phones on AT&T. Verizon users seemed the most effective.

So just to be sure, I put my wife's simcard back into her old 5s which is still on 9.3.5. Sure enough, FULL bars. So needless to say I'm a bit disappointed by whatever Apple changed in the GSM baseband.
Maybe try resetting network settings. Worth a try but be sure to have any wifi network settings info handy to put back in.

Question, did they fix that issue with the Lightning headphones where if they are plugged in and you call someone, the mic audio isn't redirected? I'm too lazy to try it out.
You not to lazy to post in a forum but cant plug in a headset? Interesting. I would say take the 10 seconds it takes and try it out.

Did they fix the 10,000 other bugs in iOS 10?
No just 9,997. Still have 3 more to fix. Heard those 3 will be fixed in 10.2

Now I'm getting iTunes in the cloud purchases I have not downloaded showing up on my phone AGAIN! I can't find where to switch that off. I found the 'Downloaded Music' option in the music.app but having to go through that instead of just selecting the Songs option is ridiculous. Why can't I just have the music I put on my phone show on my phone.

I don't need proof, I can see it with my own eyes. Running speed tests aren't the most accurate way of testing things.

I know that signal bars are not 100% accurate, and if it adjusted from 5 to 4 bars I can accept that, but going from FULL bars of signal to ONE bar of signal obviously shows something was tweaked wrong on Apple's end.

Everything was fine until Apple tried to fix Verizon's signal issues with 10.0.3, that is when it all went downhill from there.

Also since 10.0.3, both my wife's phone and mine started to have decreased battery life while at home, and I had to turn off VOLTE on both phones because the lower signal strength was causing issues.

So yes, I know first hand that Apple broke something which was working fine.
Personally what I would do is compare it to a couple of other iPhones. Put them side by side and enter into the dialer (Phone app) *3001#12345#*. Asterisks included. That will put you in Field Test Mode which will show the exact dBm signal instead of vague bars. That should give you an idea if there is a big difference between your phone and others. It's possible that it could be trying to hang on to LTE longer rather than dropping down to 3G. Also AT&T at my house will go from 4-5 bars to 1-2 bars at various times/days so it's not always the phone that is the problem.

Actually only the 7+ has it and the 6s and even the 7 cant because of the single lens. The plus is actually taking 2 pics and stitching them together.

Sorry, that's not correct. I was responding to a post about optical depth perception, which he was seeing on his phone prior to the 10.1 update. The 7+ has an advantage in that area as well, but that has nothing to do with the technology you're talking about (as I noted).

upgraded my iPhone 7 Plus without any issues..!!

also upgraded other iOS devices of my family members without any problems - iPhone 6s, iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2, iPad Air.

I always find a reboot after install helps a lot. My upgrade caused some freezes up, rebooted phone, all good.

Bluetooth issues are still there on my 7+. I have a small receiver in my car that worked flawlessly with my 6+ on the iOS 10 Betas. Upgraded to 10.1 yesterday and the first two songs I listened to on the way to work this morning were choppy in a few spots.

Universal copy and paste is not working on my Iphone 7+ after the update. Ipad and Mac are fine, when I try to paste in messages in iphone (it stalls for a bit, then unfreezes and will not paste what I copied from my mac or iPad...) anyone else?

Surely a landscape music mode is needed on the 6/7Plus models?!

Nobody else after this feature?
- Probably not what you're referring to, but there sort of is one.

Anybody else notice the keyboard sounds are way too quiet on this update?

The keyboard clicks have been VERY quiet to the point of non existent since iOS 9.
PLEASE go to apple.com/feedback and tell them to give us the ability to increase the keyboard click volume.
Thanks

Only, you won't be able to do that. Lol. When iOS 17 comes out, the only available option for you as well will be iOS 17.

I was joking of course....but having said that, I NEVER update until at least a month or two after the release. Apple uses us as beta testers now when it is released to the public. I have no idea what all the beta release versions actually accomplish because once they release to the public iOS is STILL riddled with bugs, its simply amazing and I'd be flat out embarrassed to call myself a "developer" these days. They are creating more problems than fixes...

Another obscure but important feature for some: USB Ethernet support is now "official" in iOS and has an interface in settings. (It won't appear unless you have a lightning to USB adapter with a compatible USB to Ethernet adapter plugged in). It's been a working part of iOS for a while, but you were never able to view the device, set a static IP address, etc like you can with wifi.

Nice! It's working for me. It even turns off WiFi when plugged in.

I'll update to 10.1 when Apple releases iOS 17...LOL
Never again will I jump on Apples update bandwagon on day 1....NEVER

You talk the talk. But do you new guys walk the walk?

Does it fix the 6S battery bug?

I'm fed up of it dying at 50-30%

If you still have warranty left, make a Genius Bar appointment and get a swap out. Also, bring an external battery charger and cable, to show that you want to be able to "plug in" if it dies on the way to the store. That's what I did. Now I have a fresh screen and a fresh battery.

Seems like Apple is drifting away from the original iPhone's concept of "Widescreen iPod with Touch Controls".

 Apple didn't release Xcode 8.1 together with iOS 10.1, so now I can't build anything in xCode 8.0 to test on my iPad running iOS 10.1

Xcode 8.1 is in GM status, which means having to wait a few more days before the final release is available.

What a pain! I'm gonna try a workaround I used a while ago. It's just time consuming.

Does anyone have problem with WiFi calling? It's disabled and asks me to contact my carrier after upgrading to 10.1

I have a 7 Plus/AT&T and had some issues with Wi-Fi calling after the previous update, but ultimately resolved it by toggling it off and on and restarting the phone. Wi-Fi calling continues to work for me after updating 10.1

I also lost the ability to wirelessly print in the previous update, but after updating to 10.1 it's working again.

So 10.1 beta 5 was the final version? I'm on 10.1 beta 5 -and it says I'm up to date. Build number is 14B72c.

When is the 10.2 beta comin out with a fix for the animations on iPhone 7/7+?

Same

This feels like the beta update issue on 7+ all over again hoping I don't have to go thru the crap again of getting the ispw again and manually updating

this is getting ridiculous Apple

I'm with you 100%! I know, that for me, they only started showing up when I elected to view purchased films & tv progs on the movie app, despite having music purchases turned off, think I'll try movies for a bit turned off & see if it cures it, feckin' annoying, if i wanted :apple:Music or purchases I'd get it!

Problem where phone app freezes after iOS 10 still exists and I know I'm not the only with this problem. But I guess the phone app in i"Phone" is a secondary feature. Let's talk about portrait mode more.

Why is the phone app important now that iPhones come in jet black!;)
