Just fyi if your invisible ink and other effects aren't working go to settings > general > accessibility and turn off reduced motion...mine wasn't working and reduce motion was on and now that I turned it off the effects are working! :D
Perfect. I was like "What the hell am I doing wrong????" hehehehehe

They are correct, but there is a technical reason for it.

Why M9?
Apple could have lowered system requirements for Raise to Wake, but has obviously decided against doing so as that would’ve resulted in a significantly increased power consumption because previous-generation motion coprocessors were not optimized for continual monitoring of the iPhone’s sensors in a power-efficient manner.
There's no reason for it since older iPhones support the feature 'raise to listen to audio message' or something like that.

Remember that after an update like this the phone can be sluggish at first as background processes are working and optimizing to give it the best performance. Give it some time

Yes, this happened to me. This is how I got it working:

(1) Sign out of iTunes account from iTunes > Account > Sign Out.
(2) Deauthorize computer from iTunes > Account > Deauthorize This Computer…
(3) Delete com.apple.iTunes.binarycookies and com.apple.appstore.cookies from ~/Library/Cookies.
(4) Delete all cookies from the default Web browser.
(5) Log out and back in to macOS.
(6) Sign back into iTunes account from iTunes > Account.
(7) Reauthorize computer for iTunes from > Account > Authorize This Computer…
(8) Update apps and accept new iTunes terms.

Thank you very much! :)

Raise to Wake doesn't seem to work for me. There doesn't appear to be a setting for it either as I searched for it. Should it work on a 6 Plus?

Am I missing something, or is there seriously no shuffle/repeat buttons on iOS 10 Music app nevermind. I found it, but had to google it first. This Music app is an absolute horrid mess.

One of the casualties of the move away from skeuomorphism is that now user interface elements are up to anyone's wild idea about where things should go.

So if no one updates because of this mentality, when would you update? I've been running iOS 10 since the first beta and it has worked flawlessly.
Maybe after they found that this update was bricking people's devices and issued a fix? Better to wait a few hours and be safe for most users. I bet you feel really smart right now, lol. That being said, I updated a week ago when the GM was released and it was flawless. But it's not always flawless and I know what I'm doing. There can be issues with OTA signing certs, etc. You never know what's going to happen at launch. Never a good idea to tell people as a whole that they should just jump in head first, because then stuff like this happens.

Nope, 6S / 6S Plus and newer.

Yeah, I just figured that out. Crazy that you would need a newer phone for that feature. I guess it needs the M9 so that the battery doesn't drain while it monitors proximity? Raise to Wake works with the first generation Apple Watch, so does that have an M9?

Just updated my 6s. No problems at all. Via iTunes, not OTA. The screen went completely off (dark) for a whole minute, so be patient, don't panic.

Perfect. I was like "What the hell am I doing wrong????" hehehehehe

I have reduced motion disabled, yet receiving the animated messages doesn't work. It gives me a regular message and then adding a second message with a description of the effect.

Any ideas? Thx.

Been "surfing" around the Music app - why the ... is it useful to have half the screen empty when I'm in a playlist or album? And now that the font is also bigger, I see even less of the track's name or artists name.
Not one, but multiple steps back in the usability :(

The above goes for the Music app on iPad. Phone version is a bit better.

A bit? Things are going to be sluggish all day and your battery is going to take a huge hit. Most of this is due to the way the new Photos app reorganizes itself and tries to sort everyone via their face, so just keep it plugged in and connected to wifi as much as possible.

True point. I would counter with this though: Spotify's UI (for example) is leaps and bounds better IMO. It's not skeuomorphic, yet everything is easily accessible, has a place, and makes sense. So it is doable.

Okay, I am eating crow on this one. Messages is actually hilarious and entertaining with the new update.

So where are the blocks with the hand written Happy Birthday and Awesome etc that were in the betas? Installed on Wifes 6 today and those are not there and I suspect she would actually use those some. I also updated iPad today from 9.3.5 and hey are missing there as well. ???????????

[Edit] Nevermind. Duh forgot these were on landscape the 1st time. THEN appear in recents later. Had a brainfreeze

So, strange to see we still can't rate music, songs with manual end times aren't working.

A sloppy bunch of major updates these. I'd love my phone and watch to work as they did on their previous versions.
