Call me crazy, but I think that iOS 11.3 will be released on Friday, with a website update that introduces AirPower, AirPods wireless case, and a gold iPhone X. The reason I say this is because there is code in the iOS 11.3 betas that suggest AirPower support coming with it, and why would there be support for it if you can't buy it?

Friday is a holiday. Good Friday.

They need to manage distribution server load. Otherwise, it gets expensive. That's why they stage the release.

Does 11.3 fix a lot of the weird, small, quirky bugs I encounter in iOS 11? (Frequently full restart usually sets things right a few days)

They introduced it half a year ago and you still can’t buy it.

Maybe.

Because the software is ready, but the hardware is not? iOS also has code for AirPlay 2; doesn't mean you can actually use it.

If no one would receive their new iPad until at least this Friday, then how do you know there is a firmware update for it?

Judging by the forum responses for 11.3 beta 6, it’s not even close to ready for release
