Apple Releases iOS 11.3 Update Solely for New iPad

If this is true, then we have another piece of Apple software not ready for prime time (since they can't release it for the rest of us, yet.)

I really wanted to buy this iPad because our iPad 2 is so out of date. But after Apple's recent quality problems, I think I'll wait a while.
 
The good news is we might skip GM version which is supposed to be released at this event. That means we could get the official OTA update sooner than expected

No, it means there was an update required for the new hardware. And this maybe not be the 11.3 we been beta testing. I would not be surprised to see a new version be beta tested now, something like 11.3.1...

Lame. Really hope Airplay 2 makes an appearance sooner than later. We're coming up on two months since HomePod released with vaporware multi-room playback. And AirPlay 2 was announced back in June 2017!

No, I am not “assuming” that, didn’t even make mention to any build, I certainly don’t doubt its a newer build, but, instead of a staggered release, just give it to all of us.

That common sense thinking does not properly dovetail with the hate-crowd's narrative believing Apple doesn't know what they're doing and their software is a mess (under Cook's and Federighi's leadership, of course).

I must admit that the latest beta of ios for iPhone 11.3 still has some pretty significant bugs (of which were reported with feedback and my dev portal). I think we will see another beta release before the GM is released.

LoL you harmchair CEO/software engineer guys are reaching new heights of silliness and nonsense.
I blame the easy of use of Apple and the internet for this, some people should have stayed away from IT and stick to football or whatever sports makes you an harmchair coach.

“It looks like the build number for iOS 11.3 will be 15E218 it is currently Now available only for iPad 6 generation. Hopefully more devices coming soon.”

Maybe the higher # fixes the Siri security bug.
