Just updated to final build from beta 6. I had iMessage in the Cloud enabled and after the reboot, my messages are still there. Just no option in iCloud settings for messages. Since my Mac is on the latest beta build, it still is in the cloud there. Not sure how that will work for now.

My iPhone 6s Plus battery is at 79%. It says it's supporting normal peak performance but also that my battery's health is significantly degraded.

What does that mean? Should I get it replaced?

Personally I would . That’s low health

One question to you guys (since in Mexico nobody uses iMessage but Whastapp); I don't get it,

iCloud can only store 5GB, and its used by ALL your apps, not only iMessage,

So how come is it "cool" to save iMessages TONS of messages on iCloud? do they even FIT? .. at the most you'll save 5GB?

Can someone explain?
Messages in iCloud will not count towards your iCloud storage

I see zero reason not to. Call ahead first, since I don't think any stores have batteries on hand.

You have until the end of the year. If the battery isn't causing you any problems now, leave it be. Replace when you have issues, or in December, so you get the most out of this one time cheap replacement offer.

Again no iBooks? :(

It’s not only iMessage, but all messages. It syncs them across your devices and stores them in iCloud. Meaning if I get a new iPhone all my message threads will be there on the new phone. It also means that when I delete a thread it’s deleted on all my devices automatically.

I’d also like to say not everyone has 5gb of storage. I have 2tb, so I have more than enough room for everything.

Also Facebook owns WhatsApp. Do you really trust them right now?

Question for anyone that used the Beta. Is there any sort of iCloud syncing for messages no the Apple Watch or do we have to manually delete it?

Those on the "business" iTunes 12.6.3 with the still available app tab and app store panels:

https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/09/apple-itunes-with-app-store-included/

looks like we're being forced to upgrade to 12.7.3. I'm assuming removing all those features.

So I guess we're all left in the cold right?

I'll find out in a day or so....I like to let others experience issues (or not) before I jump on a new release. If true about having to upgrade to 12.7.3 before installing, it's really a suck move by Apple.

Seems like a solid update, but the omission of Airplay 2 and iMessages in the Cloud is really disappointing since these features were announced and dangled in front of users months ago. I personally think it's time for Craig Federighi to go; he seems like a nice guy with a good personality (and iconic hair), but he seems to be dropping the ball with all of these unfinished features and missed deadlines. In my decades as a Mac user, I don't remember seeing so much uncertainty in Apple software... everything is "coming soon," and what is here is perpetually in "beta."

If the rumors are true (big IF), they realized this internally and are pulling features from iOS 12 to focus on stability, and the current feature set. If anything, I am glad he is there and pulled this feature back, rather than releasing is early and causing trouble. It sucks that they announced it, but I am glad they're not releasing it until it's right.

I work with a guy who just lost his dad and would love to save all of his dads messages. This would be perfect for this and I also have the 50 GB for $0.99 a month. I bet people who use this feature would also pay the extra money as well.

I just got the battery replaced on a spare 6 plus I have $29. Had to contact customer care and they order the battery for you and contact you when it comes in. Takes a few weeks. Then when it's in you don't have to make an appointment but they do only give you 1 week to come in for it or they sell it to someone else. You leave your phone there and they tell you to come back for it in 3-4 hours.
