Don't be disappointed just yet. Remember that the Apple Card has been in internal testing for a few weeks now, and people testing it are running iOS 12.4. And if history can be used as a reference then this might mean Apple plans to turn on the Apple Card remotely in the next few days for those running iOS 12.4 and they will see it pop up in their wallet app, just like in 2017 when iOS 11.2 released apparently without Apple Pay Cash and then people who had updated started seeing it pop up out of the blue on their devices a couple of days later.Very disappointed that there's no mention of Apple Card in this update... I'm eagerly waiting for that to debut and I was hoping that 12.4's release would see a side-by-side launch of the card![]()
Yeah, it's going to be just like iOS 11.2. Despite being the update expected to include Apple Pay Cash, iOS 11.2 came out apparently without it, but a couple of days after releasing the update Apple turned on the feature remotely and only then did people who had updated their devices start seeing it pop up out of the blue in the iMessages app. These are considerably lame features for a "major"ish release. I'd imagine they're waiting a week to let users update before launching the card, it's likely in the 12.4 update but only time will tell.
Actually the iPhone 5 did get the Wallet app for passes, it just didn't get the Apple Pay portion of the wallet app because it lacked Touch ID and the secure element to store payment information. Even the iPhone 5s, the first one to come equipped with Touch ID, didn't get Apple Pay because it still lacked the secure element to store payment information and the NFC transmitter needed to make payments by tapping. It's a shame that the Wallet App never was implemented on the iPhone 5.
I liked News back in iOS 9 when it was possible to add RSS feeds from ANY website in any language as channels using the button in Safari, but stopped using it for the most part when Apple started putting in place their stupid restrictions on the button's functionality so that it would only work with the same sites already listed as channels within the News app.So there are brainless/brainwashed people out there who actually read/use Apple news censored app....pfff.
It might be enabled remotely in a few days, have patience. I remember Apple doing that with Apple Pay Cash in 2017.Updated and no card application available in my iPhone here either
Or maybe they will just turn on the Apple Card remotely in a few days for those who have already updated to iOS 12.4. That's exactly how Apple Pay Cash was released in 2017.My guess is that there’ll be a 12.4.1 update before we roll over to iOS 13.
I doubt we'll have to wait for another update. The card has been in internal testing for weeks now and testers are running iOS 12.4. They might simply turn it on remotely in the next few days for those already running iOS 12.4. Remember Apple Pay Cash? that's exactly how Apple handled it back in the day, so it wouldn't be surprising if they now do the same with the Apple Card. Also disappointed to here the card isn't launching along side it. Perhaps it does add full support, and later this week they will announce card availability. Or we will have to wait for another update to iOS later this year and the card launch is being delayed.
That article is just about what was expected from iOS 12.4. However, that's not what's happening so far. Let's hope Apple is planning to turn on the Apple Card remotely in the next few days for those who have updated, like they did with Apple Cash before.
We get it. It may be turned on remotely. No need to reply to every post with that, once is enough. It might be enabled remotely in a few days, have patience. I remember Apple doing that with Apple Pay Cash in 2017.

It might show up later. That has happened before with other similar features. This is interesting. I wonder if Apple Card will just appear as available in 12.4 at some point.
If it requires iOS 13, the iPhone 6, which supports Apple Pay, will never be compatible.
On the other hand, I wonder long it will be until Apply Pay is permanently disabled in the iPhone 6 due to lack of security updates...
How does the wireless migration work? Is it over WiFi from iPhone A directly to iPhone B? If so, that's a pretty good feature - doing an iCloud backup and restore is quite time consuming.
They might not disable Apple Pay on the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus. Look at what's going on with the original Apple Watch: it was deemed obsolete and stopped getting software updates a year ago, and I'm sure most of us who owned one have already upgraded to a newer model because of that, yet Apple Pay still works fine on the original Apple Watch despite that the people still using that model are probably very few by now.Apple definitely keeps metrics on how many iPhone 6 users are using Apple Pay and will likely not disable it as long as a significant amount of people are using it.
It's also easy for them to release a patch update if there is a glaring security hole. It's been done in the past for otherwise no longer updated devices.
Oh I'm sure they will. Internal testers of the card are currently running iOS 12.4, so I doubt it will be exclusive to iOS 13 or later when it comes out.Better include Apple Card with iOS 12. That's the last iOS I can run on my 6.
The update for MacOS is out too. Not sure what's in it, though.
Apple will today release iOS 12.4, the fourth major update to the iOS 12 operating system that first launched in September 2018. iOS 12.4 comes more two months after the release of iOS 12.3, another major update that brought the new TV app.
The iOS 12.4 update is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the update, go to Settings --> General --> Software Update. As with all iOS updates, iOS 12.4 is free to download, but it may take some time for iOS 12.4 to propagate to all iOS users.

During the beta testing process, there were no outward-facing features or major changes discovered in iOS 12.4. According to Apple's release notes, the update introduces a new iPhone migration option to directly transfer data from an old iPhone to a new iPhone, and it introduces enhancements to Apple News+. From Apple's release notes: The update was believed to include support for Apple Card, laying the foundation for Apple's new credit card, though the release notes make no mention of this. It could still add the underlying framework for Apple Card, which is set to be launching this summer and could come at any time.

4 minutes in, nothing showing up. I call BS
After updating to 12.4 entering the Siri and Search menu in settings freezes my phone... Can anyone reproduce this?
Wow, no mention of the macOS Mojave 10.14.6 update? Downloading it now.
