The question I have is it similar to iCloud backup and restore or full as in doing from iTunes. The cloud one leaves a lot of stuff out

Why is anyone doing that at all? I get a new iPhone (not frequently, I'm cheap), and I just have the settings and accounts moved over. I use iCloud and Onedrive to store my stuff, I download only what I want for apps and music, leave the rest behind. It feels good to declutter! Quick, Easy, Painless.

I thought wireless migration was already in iOS. I used it a while back on iOS 12. I wasn’t using a beta either.

Haven't Apple employees already been using the Apple Card? Shouldn't it have already been ready in iOS and it's just a matter of Apple releasing the actual card to the public?

Nobody mentioned the rare releases of iOS 9.3.6 and 10.3.4?

Maybe it needs to be enabled server side?

Apple employees have been using it on both iOS 12.4 and iOS 13 apparently, so it should show up for the public at any time Apple wants to turn it on.

Pretty sure Goldman Sachs will release card to public. Apple won't administer, approve or anything. Just agreed the terms with GS and have the software and integration with ApplePay.

These are considerably lame features for a "major"ish release. I'd imagine they're waiting a week to let users update before launching the card, it's likely in the 12.4 update but only time will tell.

No need to wait. Just announcing the card will be a big pull for some card wanting folks to update who don’t have auto update on (which I think flags folks that an update is ready about a week after it is available if they haven’t performed the update...YMMV as I always manually update but when my mom forgets to, she has seen the reminder about a week later.)

When updating my HomePods via the Home app, I’m now stuck with THIS going on. Happening on both my iPhone XS Max AND iPad 10.5”

Any suggestions??

Hah, this wireless upgrading thing will be great for the person or two who actually upgrades to the 2019 iPhone. Restoring from iCloud is really slow.

I've been on vacation and come back to see fugly hands-on mockups and lackluster specs compared to the 2020 model leaks. Hopefully they get their crap together.

I'm just glad the walkie-talkie functionality will be restored. My wife and I use it all the time and I find it hilarious that it was essentially broken only during my vacation when I needed it most.
[doublepost=1563830901][/doublepost]I was wondering how do we use the new iPhone migration

How would that even be possible? No one has been able to apply for the card.
He means no mention by Apple. In other words, that the card doesn't seem to come with iOS 12.4 contrary to what lots of people expected to happen.

What I mean is that like under settings or what if confused on how to use if I had bought a new iPhone

Until now, that only transferred the iCloud account and some settings from one device to the other. Now it transfers ALL of the data from one device to the other.

The Apple Card would automatically show up in Wallet, or in settings>wallet & Apple Pay for people running iOS 12.4 or the iOS 13 betas when apple enables it remotely. They already did that before with the Apple Pay Cash debit card in 2017, which came out a few days after iOS 11.2, the software update including the necessary support, was released.

I was talking about the iPhone migration tool sorry to confuse you

How do we use the iPhone migration tool
I assume you will only see it when you try to setup a new phone. Same as previously where you could take a picture of the "QR/dot code"... only now it will transfer all data instead of basic settings and passwords.

It usually appears as an option during the setup process when setting up a new device. You just choose that option (restore from another device, I believe it is called) and then have the other device near the one you're setting up.
