I’m going to wait for iOS 13.2.1, which the way things are going, should be out sometime later this evening.

Is it a known bug where an app that was just opened on the taskbar (you know how there is an icon in the taskbar for last used apps). The app icon doesn’t reopen when clicking on it?

Has anyone noticed a difference in their cellular data use? My family used twice as much as normal and we went over our limit with AT&T which s something that has never happened to us. We normally use between 10 and 15 GB but we went over 20 GB and they added 1 GB until the 4th of Oct. I then got another notice say we had used 75% of the extra 1 GB today after updating to iOS 13.1.2

have you contacted the company about updating the app or firmware?
I contacted my audiologist today. She has contacted the CI manufacturer and learned that the manufacturer is working with Apple to resolve the issues. It sounds like some of the problem is related to Bluetooth functionality.

They increased the App Store’s app update limit to 200mb over cellular, or you can optionally turn off the limit altogether. You might make sure that the limit isn’t turned off in "Settings > iTunes and App Store > App Downloads" on one of the devices.

In hindsight, it probably would have been better to stick with the original September 30th release date for 13.1, rather than have two fire drill releases within the same time span, at least in terms of public perception, if nothing else.

But it could be worse, they could have labelled today's release "13.1 Supplemental Update 2!" o_O

* Both of my Nucleus 7 sound processors (bilateral cochlear implants) begin streaming at random times even though there is no media playing (nothing to stream)
* Volume in both implants reverts to 0 upon iPhone reboot
* Pairing is hit or miss (sometimes the iPhone doesn’t even detect the sound processors)
* iPhone takes almost 3 minutes to shut down while paired to my sound processors. Unpairing my implants resolves this issue.

This iPhone XR worked perfectly with my implants while running iOS 12.4.1.

You should roll back to 12.4.1 while Apple is still signing it - especially with something so important. Google is your friend for how to do it, but I've done it in the past it's not difficult.

I would love to, but I’ve no access to a computer that I can trust. I’ll just leave my CI’s unpaired until Apple releases a fix. Being that Apple was the first phone company to implement direct CI streaming, I’m sure they’ll get a fix released soon.

Well, since 13 and 13.1 both had betas released at the same time, followed by GA of 13/13.1 plus quick succession releases of 13.1.1 and today’s update ... that would seem to suggest the opposite of what you’re suggesting, as they could have easily merged fixes for bugs reported in one of those last 13.0 beta builds (that released in tandem with the 13.1 betas) into 13.1.1 or today’s update.

No proof that they didn’t, at any rate.
Agree, that 13.1 should have just dropped today with the 13.1.1 & 13.1.2 bug fixes included.

Wow, what's up with the ios development team

So you don't like the fact that they are fixing things?
This quality control is really worrying.

If they are releasing bug fixes then I'm not sure what's worrying you. Maybe you'd feel better if nothing was fixed. Or maybe you expect all software to be bug-free out of the gate, which is about as likely as the sun exploding tomorrow.

This whole thing flies in the face of Apple's reputation and one of the most cited reasons for choosing a more expensive Apple phone. Solid, slow, very mature and tested updates, to provide that rock solid Apple experience.

It's now some wild mix of Microsoft/Android updating going on... but even worse.

Did anyone else’s Mail notifications toggles (Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners) get turned off with this update? I keep hearing the Mail chime but don’t see any lock screen notifications, then I noticed they are toggled off on my iPhone and iPad.

Hope this fixes the carplay on my car, it's been ass. Keeps disconnecting, or won't connect at all sometimes when I start up my car not to mention the laggy UI.

You mean a stable launch to begin with like they absolutely were capable of years ago as well as were promising to be able to uphold after the iOS 11 flop when they said they were going to focus heavy on quality?

I think around Developer Beta 2 or 3, most of us knew iOS 13.0 was going to be rough at first, however, like many others are saying, at least Apple is putting out updates fast!

Could be worse, we could be on Android which rarely gets updated, or Microsoft which puts updates out every single week!

:apple:

Uh oh, just upgraded 11 pro max to 13.1.2 and got an “ultra wide band error”. Clicked the learn more button and got this.
Support page Looks like it could be worse but I have to plug it in to iTunes to fix.. sigh.

Yes, and also i noticed that i can’t read a attached, i can only save. Argh!!!

Yeah, I'm totally overreacting by saying this has been a poor upgrade process. Nah, you're right. It's all going fantastic.

Siri Shortcuts has been broken on my Watch and HomePod since the release of 13. So yes, I do notice and pay attention to the updates because I want my products to work as intended. I pay the Apple money because of the "It just works." This update has been anything but that. You can call that out when it happens. It isn't necessarily always all sunshine and rainbows.

Same here. Shortcuts is broken on HomePod and Watch, and this update did not fix it on my HomePod. Did it fix it for you?
