Apple Releases iOS 13 With System-Wide Dark Mode, Privacy Updates, Revamped Photos App, Find My App, New Maps Features and More

Just realised that iOS 13 has completely ruined the podcasts app on my iPhone 8 Plus. There is now no way (that I can see) to preview an episode and read the show notes before deciding if its of interest. This is a major problem for me, as I am a prolific podcast listener and I regularly used the preview.

Heh... good luck updating my 6. I will get to check it out tomorrow when I finally replace my phone.
iTunes giving me "update not compatible with your device" error. Dug into the update folder user/Library/Tunes/iPhone Software Updates and from the file name iPhone11,2,iPhone11,4,iPhone11,6_13.0_17A577_Restore.ipsw it apparently downloaded software for the iPhone 11 even though I have an Xs. ?? Now updating OTA (less than an hour). If you have iTunes errors, check this possibility.
I quit the beta trajectory to stay on 13.0 and not get involved in the 13.1 beta.

The beta developed pretty well, but I needed a update from that last release. I am sure one can update to this 13.0 release, and manage to keep productivity at level until 13.1. Just my opinion as opposed previous posts stating that they will hold until 13.1 is released.

I did the exact same thing. I'm also on 17A5572a but I'm not seeing today's official release – even though I deleted Apple's public beta certificate. Is that intended..? 🤔
I've got iPhone_4.0_64bit_13.0_17A577_Restore for an iPhoneSE, but it still says it is incompatible. One of the things the troubleshooting page says is update iTunes. I'm not leaving 12.6 until I switch to Windows.
So I guess that could be it. Downloaded in about 90 seconds!!
Had that happen when I updated to a 13.0 beta. I rebooted my Xs Max and it finished the install. However, do this at your own risk...don't know if I got lucky...
Hmm, no: if you deleted the public beta certificate, you should be seeing the official update (soon).

Updated OTA. Only took about 20mins. When it finished Software Update kept popping up a message each time I started iTunes saying that iTunes couldn't talk to the phone. It wanted to install "something", but iTunes had to be shut down. I let it. I figured there goes 12.6. It downloaded, worked for about 3 minutes, but I'm still on 12.6.5.3. ??? I was able to do a quick sync with iTunes while it was downloading the whatever it was, so I'm not sure what was going on. It all still seems to work.

I just tried to update my mom's phone... and it got bricked. I love iOS 13, but what the hell!! It's not even a beta or anything, its the real deal!! C'mon!!
Or learn how to read Apple software updates.

I certainly can't speak to whatever error message you might have gotten, but that .ipsw is the file for the phone you claim to have.
Ah, just jumped to conclusions, but it definitely gave me a compatibility error, and running fine on 13.0 now after OTA update.
Same boat as you. Never had to do anything else in past. Anyone have an answer??
Trying it out first on my 6s work phone - smooth so far! Dark mode looks great.
Not a fan of the Photos editing layout... too much scrolling to find the tool.

I'm most excited for calendar to support attachments. I'm least excited for the "Play Next" and "Play Later" pop-ups to remain as intrusive and awful as the old volume HUD.
