Is that an SE (Gen 1)? Mine did that earlier in the day when I tried to go from 13.6 to 13.7. Once it restored to 13.7 (after looking like it failed) it needed to install something having to do with iTunes before iTunes could talk to the phone. It wiped out the phone, but I just use it for music, and finding out things like this. :)

Yes. I backed it up before the update but now it won't restore, says unknown error 21.

Hm. IOS 14 is available on the phone, but since the phone is my only internet connection, i can't download it there, even though i have unlimited data.

So if I go to Finder on my Mac, it is offering me to download 13.7 (I'm on 13.6.1), and it doesn't get the newer update information from the phone.

I'm just so tired of Apple. Not kidding, this is the end of the line. Time to move on to something more functional.

I live in a remote area too and have to use this work around. It's 2020 we should be able to update with confirmation over cellular just as we do with large apps.

Connect your iPhone to your Mac via usb cable and turn on hotspot on your iPhone under settings and then go to your Mac and click on the Apple logo / system preferences / sharing / choose internet sharing and share your iPhone usb hotspot connection to the WiFi and turn it on by checking it. Then go to your iPhone and choose the shared WiFi from your Mac and you'll be able to update over WiFi.

I still can't believe they don't allow widgets on the hone screen of iPadOS. Small screen iPhone can put widgets everywhere, while big screen iPad is limited to the sidebar. Also, no app library page. I personally don't like it, but iPad and iOS should share core features like that. Its like iPadOS was done half-azzzzed.

Sent from a 2016 SE running iOS 14! So far no lag, doing great.

Had iOS 14 running on my 7 + for about 5 hours now and I can’t tell if it’s my imagination but I swear the animations when opening and closing apps and page scrolling on the Home Screen feels faster or just more responsive, anyone else feel this ?

Wifi is slower than USB, though.

Got it to recognize the update by disconnecting and connecting the USB cable a few times. Just works! Apple "AI"!

After updating my iPhone to iOS14, some passwords stored on my iCloud keychain reverted to the old ones that I changed 1~2 months ago including the wifi password. As a result, my iPhone and iPad lost wifi connection which I originally thought is due to some problem in wifi, but later I found that on my Mac (which somehow did not lose wifi connection) I cannot log into some websites using the password autofill and finally realized this disturbing problem. Tried to call Apple customer service to report it, but still waiting for "available agent" after 20 minutes. I'm giving up... What is Apple doing??? How can it mess up the stored password???:mad::mad:

One quick observation.. The iOS 14 wallpapers look like ass. As in, it really does look like an ass. :D

What happened to all these amazing aerial and macro shots we once enjoyed with every new iOS release

I missed this post. See I look at this...now I see (and I'm dating myself here), a very popular mid 1990s Rolling Stone magazine cover with a bare a**ed Jennifer Aniston. (Google it :) )

I could post it...with the above image over the real Aniston a**...but IDK, I might get slapped with a warning, banned.
But banned using iPhone wallpaper as a censor image?? That would be interesting 🤔 😆
