I have an iPad pro 10.5 2018 model. Mine is not updating to 15.0.2. Don't know the reason. After downloading iPad keep showing endless "Verifying update" and it never stops. Does anyone know the reason? I tried various steps by deleting the old downloads from storage and start over. Nothing works very frustrating..
Same. problem here AP1971...and this was an issue with the previous update! Then I had to contact Apple and after several hours...and reps...no real solution. Had to attache to MBPro (and if one doesn't have a MBPro?) and install from the MBPro after first backing-up to the MBPro. What a waste of time and resource as I barely had the space to take on a backup to my laptops drive! Not sure what to try now....so checking out this and other forums. If you find a simpler solution please reply and post. Q: how did you delete the old dnlds from 'storage'?????

Did iOS 15.0.2 just introduce a new bug?

This is what I'm seeing when I check for Software Update after updating:

You know… Something I’ve been seeing the last year (so iOS 14 on) has been this weird Mail bug (maybe it’s well documented) where I view a specific email, then move back to my Inbox, close Mail, eventually relaunch Mail and instead of opening where I left off (Inbox), it opens on that email I once opened. Consistent, repeatable, user experience - for me - since iOS 14. #justsayin

I'm happy on iOS 14.8. I think I'll leave it there for a while. I have little interest in most of the new features offered by iOS 15 and it seems buggy the way iOS 13 was.

Yeah...I got that last time and this time. Just disconnect your internet and re-connect. BUT: this didn't solve the problem for me last time or this time. I connected the iPad to my MBPro....and via the Finder did a backup (without synching!)....during the process it will state something like " will install iOS xxx after the backup '...or something such...and then the backup installed properly while connected to the laptop. Will probably have to go this route again!!! Really Apple?

Same for me, iPad Pro 10.5, and the same happened with 15.01. I reported it to Apple (and on another thread here somewhere). I had to do a bare metal reinstall. It's only just, after 2 weeks, finished syncing iCloud photos. I do not wish to go through that again. But guess what... my iPad is stuck on "Verifying updates". Not looking good. Apple, seriously, this is madness.
See my replay to Rafagon below.....

Is that a problem with emails only? Not a problem with text messages? My wife uses Siri to dictate text messages all the time, and has held off upgrading from 14.8 because of the Siri issue.
It works for text messages, but no longer to composing and sending emails in Mail. I send myself email reminders quite often as I'm out of the office.

Wouldn't that really be up to the individual States? I mean we don't really need special software to copy our DLs...just knowledge that the copy would be accepted on a phone or other device.
Yes, it's already enabled in iOS 15 but up to the states to make it available.

...exactly the same. The arrogance of Apple to release TWO minor point releases with the same problem they could have confirmed in minutes, is staggering.
Sorry about your troubles. I just repeated what worked last time and it worked again. One thing I did notice was that during the long update process one of the items to pass by in the progress bar was 'firmware update'. Also, on the iPad, I turned to 'ON' the settings for autoupdate/install in Settings. I left it this way during the update. Lastly, my iPadPro is a 9" 2017 model; software up to date. Good luck with this 'fool me twice....'....

So I have been talking to Apple engineers for a week about phone not showing correct storage - still not fixed.
My 12 pro max had this issue during the iOS 15 beta and it carried over after the official update. I had to factory reset my device and it started showing the correct value again

Are there anyone still installing updates by plugging the iPhone to the Mac? Is there any reason to do this instead of updating via wifi?
