Apple today released iOS 15.0.2, the second update to the iOS 15 operating system that was released in September. iOS 15.0.2 comes a week and a half after the launch of iOS 15.0.1, a bug fix update.

The iOS 15.0.2 update can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, the update fixes an issue that could cause images saved to your Photo Library from Messages to disappear after the associated message or thread is deleted.

iOS 15.0.2 also fixes an issue that could cause the iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe not to connect to Find My, and a bug that could cause AirTags not to appear in the Find My Items tab. There's a fix for a CarPlay bug that could cause CarPlay to fail to open audio apps, and an issue that could cause device restore or updates to fail on iPhone 13 models. when using Finder or iTunes. Apple's full release notes are below:Apple has also released iPadOS 15.0.2 for iPad models, with fixes for the Messages bug, the AirTag bug, and a bug that could cause device restore or update to fail on an iPad mini 6 when using Finder or iTunes.

Apple's security support page for the updates says that iOS and iPadOS 15.0.2 address a vulnerability that could allow an application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges, a bug that Apple says could have been actively exploited.

For that reason, all users should make sure to update to the latest software as soon as possible.

I have an iPad pro 10.5 2018 model. Mine is not updating to 15.0.2. Don't know the reason. After downloading iPad keep showing endless "Verifying update" and it never stops. Does anyone know the reason? I tried various steps by deleting the old downloads from storage and start over. Nothing works very frustrating..

I mean…..there’s little oversight of people at home which is why millions are pushing back against going back in. It has little to do with anything else. Anyone saying otherwise is probably lying. I’ve talked to people in various industries who absolutely love working half the hours for full pay.
I don'tget the way of thinkibg, even when working the same hours at home as you did in the offive you ar keft with more spare time ( no commute etc) , so why not just do the same hours st home instead if trying to get one over on the boos, forcing said boss to force evrybody back to the office, 20what am I missing here?

A bit off topic, but I can almost guarantee that if any employees (of Apple or otherwise) are working half the hours because they’re working from home now, those are the same employees that did half the work they should have when they were in-office.

I just saw something about productivity numbers being up yet again, so I don’t think that overall more people are working less. Working from home, once you get used to it, may include doing the laundry or going for a walk in the afternoon, but then you also end up starting to work earlier in the morning and later at night, because it’s easier to do whenever something pops up. I’ve worked primarily from my home office for more than a decade and I definitely put in more hours than when I worked at the office, including my 90 minute commute time each way (even when I factor in responding to forums like this occasionally).

Anyone having battery issues with iPhone 13 mini on 15.0.1? My wife's brand new phone is quickly to 50% by midday and she hasn't even used it because she is working. I'm hoping it has something to do with the restore indexing or something like that.

No. My 13 Mini on 15.0.1 easily lasts for a day and then some with light use. Have you checked in the battery settings if some app is consuming power in the background?

Hmm hello, I got my new iPhone 13 pro max and fortunately I have a 5G data plan here in Switzerland, but no microwave 5G… anyway I was expecting to be able to use the famous announced feature regarding download update OTA with 5G but no… iOS still ask me to connect to a Wifi.

does anyone know if this is a bug or my carrier that is blocking this ? Fun fact if I use this phone as a tethered device and update another phone it will be ok. I have no data limitation, just speed capped at 100Mbits.

Any clues ? Thanks

Are most of the issues being seen with ios 15 on the iPhone 13? I have the 11Pro and not seeing too many people mentioning it or any other older iPhone ?

Yes. People need to stop blaming work from home. I had major issues with iOS 13. That was released while workers were in the office. Also, Apple has engineers and testers in India. So they can’t work at Apple Campus.

I don’t have any issues with iOS 15.
