Indeed. I was hoping to see more substantial bug fixes before 16.1. They’ve already broken sync between iPhone and iPad, no point coordinating the releases now. Give us the bug fixes now and Stage Manager later.

Stage Manager is apparently still in a state of being a heap of doo doo from what I hear (from Apple enthusiasts, no less)

I am noticing a new bug on my 14 Pro Max (still on 16.0.1) don’t know if this is known or if this affects any other phones/firmwares as I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere

I am getting extreme flickering when taking high framerate “slo-mo” video on the ultrawide camera at 240fps

I am not talking about flickering of LEDs or other light sources like you sometimes see in high framerate video - I mean the entire image and all contents in the frame are flickering. And this is specifically only happening on the ultrawide camera.

Can anybody else replicate this behavior and confirm whether this is fixed on 16.0.2?

Awesome timing! Just went to pick up my new toy earlier today and did not have time to restore the backup from the old phone yet.

Installed, nothing has blown up yet, camera seems fine in 3rd party apps (maybe a bit slow to zoom? can't remember if it was like that before).

On an unrelated note, you can really tell the thermal management is so much better on this phone than on prior models. The entire stainless case edge gets warm when doing intensive tasks, rather than one hotspot by the processor. This means good heat spreading, less throttling. Makes a great hand warmer after a software update 😆

Really! That’s great to here! I was wondering how the thermals were. My 13 mini burns in my pocket.

Can confirm, 14 Pro Max. Used to hear a silent but audible click whenever opening instagram camera, now it sounds exactly like the stock camera app.
Im still hearing that click sound in Instagram, sounds and slightly feels like the camera is „getting ready“. For me that’s not the case using the normal camera app.

Yeah exactly. Same with the new System Preferences. I am definitely not updating my Macs until at least 13.2. I don’t care as much about the iPad.

They just need to take some time off from reinventing the wheel to polish what they’ve got.

It shows as IOS 16 insteas of 16.0.2.
But is has the correct release notes.
Is this normal ?

Double post... sorry

Same as for 16.0.1… it really freaked me out when I'd finished transferring from my 13 Pro (which I'd left on iOS 15.7) to my 14 Pro, as I took it to imply that the transfer had somehow copied 15.7 to the 14 Pro and I was wondering how it was even able to support the new hardware 😆🫠
