Can someone who has an iphone 14 pro max check if it can read barcodes on the amazon app? I can't, the camera won't focus.

1. When you launch the stock camera app and click on 2x, does the picture "shake" outside of the crop area? Not sure if this is normal or a hardware defect on my unit.

Mine also jiggles on 16.1 so curious about this too.

Apple today released iOS 16.0.2, addressing a number of bugs that iPhone 14 owners have been experiencing since the new devices launched. iOS 16.0.2 comes two weeks after the launch of iOS 16, and it follows iOS 16.0.1, an update made available to iPhone 14 owners on launch day. The update is available for all iPhones that are capable of running iOS 16.

The iOS 16.0.2 update can be downloaded on eligible iPhones over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 16.0.2 addresses bugs a number of bugs that have been impacting the iPhone 14 models and other iPhones running iOS 16. It addresses an issue that could cause the camera to vibrate and shake in third-party camera apps, it fixes a bug that led to repeated copy and paste popups, and it resolves a problem causing the display to appear black during setup.

It also fixes an issue that caused some iPhone X, XR, and iPhone 11 models with replaced displays to become unresponsive after updating to iOS 16. Apple's release notes for the update are below:

All of these bugs were found shortly after the new iPhones launched. The camera vibration issue is one of the more serious bugs as it causes the rear camera to shake uncontrollably when filming video in apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram. The stock Camera app is not affected, and until now, there was no workaround or fix.

As for the copy and paste bug, Apple confirmed that it was not normal behavior last week. Apps are not supposed to ask for permission to access the clipboard with every single paste attempt, and the issue has already been addressed in the iOS 16.1 beta.

Apple is already working on iOS 16.1, which will be released alongside iPadOS 16.1 sometime in October.

I can confirm that the burdensome/annoying permission to paste glitch still effects CloudClip - have reported that - OS has to make it possible via an option/setting to AT LEAST set pasting as ok in each app, maybe system wide but that’s a security black hole. It MIGHT have something to fo with adding data to icloud?

I still hear a permament white noise coming from the camera, even while the stock camera app is open. I have to put my ear close to the phone to hear, but its still there all the time. normal?

When you give permission does it ask again when you try to copy from safari. I've tried copying and pasting from safari and it's not asking again after i confirm once.

2. When I launch the camera on Instagram there is an audible click followed by a constant hissing sound. Doesn't happen in the stock camera app. Is this normal?
Shaking 2x outside the crop is something I see too. Assume that’s a bug.

The Instagram click also appears to be pretty standard from what I’ve heard. I have the same on my device but never had the rattle.

Should I be concerned about any camera damage if mine only did it once?
I wouldn’t be concerned. I didn’t know what was going on on Sunday and even then I only had it happen two times for a few seconds until I got out of the app and then Monday tried it again to see if the app update fixed it. But if you only had it for a few seconds it’s fine.

Even the use on a motorcycle is after long term. Miles of use. So I think we all good

I’m sure all them do that. It’s probably set up that way.

Same issue in WhatsApp using translator. I’ve tried multiple translate apps, all with the same results.

Have the click / hissing on instagram too - never noticed it before although probably only used stock camera / Snapchat up till now.

Very odd I guess it’s still not right..
