I'm not installing it. My 15PM is perfect. Great battery, no overheating.
yes I think the issues are with 512GB and above.Same phone. Pro 256gb. No issues what so ever.
What's with the stupid fixation on IC's while there are managers and VP's that allow this to go out?
I found that in order to use CarPlay I was warned it had to be on. Pretty sure that’s for the automatic “where did I park my car” feature.Definitely not. I turned them off 100%.
Significant locations is turned on with this update and I can see my visits of the last three days. How is that possible? That only means Apple is recording things while it is turned off.
Was not using Carplay. It does not to be turned on if you do not want to, but probably will not be able to use the dude where did i park my car feature.I found that in order to use CarPlay I was warned it had to be on. Pretty sure that’s for the automatic “where did I park my car” feature.
This never change a running system is not useful anymore with modern devices.I'm not installing it. My 15PM is perfect. Great battery, no overheating.
Same here.I'm not installing it. My 15PM is perfect. Great battery, no overheating.
When they release 17.1, i hope it will be fixed. This never change a running system is not useful anymore with modern devices.
The update as well contains other fixes and security updates. With 17.1 you would get these changes (and more) as well.
same experience here on 17.1 Beta 2It's an improvement , but still "warm" instead of "hot".
They aren’t in a position to fire Meta engineers.nice, quick fix out. now fire the inept engineers who manage to miss it in the first place.
Simple statistics. The testing pool at Apple during development is in the hundreds. Then the testing pool is in the thousands to hundreds of thousands. Then upon release the testing pool is millions. It is very possible that a problem isn't large enough to be seen when in the hundreds or even thousands. To assume because they missed a problem that they are "idiots" is unfounded. Unless you are yourself an OS developer and see a glarging issue in the code that only an "idiot" would miss, you are certainly unfair in your assessment. These OSes now are so featured and complicated that there will be mistakes (bugs). I certainly have never been upset by having a bug in my iPhone and went to the degree to call someone an "idiot" But that is just me.Maybe you are correct.
But they have a bunch of idiots there and this would be the only way to get them to use their brain and put some effort and pride into what they are doing. I’ve never seen so many glitches and issues in apple software like in the last 10 years.
There are some issues that are so obvious that I can’t stop thinking they are not using apple devices at apple.
Nah. I have a 512 GB iPhone 15 Pro Max and I never had the overheating issue and I do have Instagram and a few other apps that were said to cause overheating.yes I think the issues are with 512GB and above.
hmm... not on mine. Gotta say thats the quickest update install ever!Wow they did indeed enable all location services. Wtf Apple
Has anyone tried to ascertain why some models overheat and some dont? I have a natural titanium 256GB pro with no issues whatsoever. A friend has black pro 512GB with severe issues. I updated via phone-to-phone, friend updated via icloud. We both have all the Meta apps but obviously not the same amount of photos and not all apps are the same. If this was a legit software bug (and not a bad batch of cpu) I think it would be more widespread.
