They finally released it? That was awfully late to get it out the door (usually iOS bug fixes goes out the door at 1000 hours Pacific time).

iOS 18 has to be the buggiest major release in years. My battery is in free fall for most of the day, even with this years 'better battery" (No change in my usage habits from the last phone).

This update couldnt have come quick enough.

Which device are we talking about out of curiosity?

The touchscreen issues on my iPhone 16 Pro Max appear to have been resolved.

Music app buggy/freezes/crashes/takes FOREVER to shuffle a playlist

Icons for notifications on Lock Screen are in dark mode even though the phone is not in dark mode

Let's see if the 48MP ProRAW to 48MP HEIC conversion bug has been fixed, which only creates 12MP files:
Quick Actions>Convert Image>File Format: HEIF>Image Size: Original

Hopefully they fixed the Music app freezing/not updating the Now Playing screen bug.

I had a day 1 update on my 16 pro max…

i did as well and DID NOT install it and didn't have any issues. Maybe that was the issue......

18.0.1 installed super fast btw, wow impressed. Phone is a bit warm, now watch etc

Typing is not any better whatsoever on my 16PM. This is unbelievable.

Hope this fixes the Wifi6e/7 issues I was having with slowness on the initial handshake.

It doesn't seem to have helped.

Installed on my iPhone and iPad .. and nothing is bricked. As never was with iOS 18.

This did not fix my 16PM. The screen is still unresponsive when using a screen protector.

I can still replicate scrolling bug with left side anywhere and not only near Camera Control button.

Is it something hardware related that they tried to fix by changing something in the algorithm to pass it as software issue but it’s truly hardware?

I've gone from the 15 Pro to the 16 Pro.

I'd normally charge the 15 Pro around midnight, lose about 5-10% battry overnight, then use it throughout the day and it would last until about 10/11pm that night.

With the 16 pro I'm having to charge at around 7pm. So a few hours less.

Hopefully the update will help.

ProRaw 48 with native camera still have defective results. Not rendering the image correctly when cropped to the maximum.

Just updated my iPhone 16 pro Max and now don't have cell service... I'm on Verizon.

same; didnt have service for alteast 5-10 mins and then all of sudden appear. Other thing noticed after update is that RCS is gone. In Settings, RCS is enabled but when I text to non-iphone users, it only shows Text Message - SMS (and not RCS like before). Tried multiple people. BTW I am on Verizon as well.

EDIT: after disabling RCS and enabling back from settings, brings that option back.

The lock screen with the number pad crashes once after updating. Happens on both M4 iPad 13 and IPM 16.
