IOS 18 is so slow and has ruined my icloud storage. Not sure how my icloud went from 57mb to 83.4mb when I only have 1 backup on there.

its good to update 15 pro first and then pickup the 16 pro on friday, or is better to wait until friday to feel “the full experience” or this affects recovering backup from 15 pro to 16 pro? its a genuine question

The new phone can be on a newer version of iOS just not the other way around.

Ah, that makes sense. That would be the issue I ran into before.

I installed iPad 18 on my iPad pro 1" M4 and it's just a black screen now.

Clearly the screen is too small at 1” for iPadOS 18.

I tried to hold the power but but nothing. :-( Any ideas to fix this?

Yes you can go straight to v18.0. v17.7 is only there for folks waiting, although its the default choice as far as I can tell.

I will probably try it in 2 months. There is absolutely no way I am going to ruin my perfectly working fine iPhone with this new iOS.

And, speaking of the App Library, it looks like iOS18 won’t allow us to delete it. Too bad. It was something I was hoping for.

I've had "Slow charger" massage in Battery settings for some time even though the charger is pretty fast. And ℹ icon points to Apple's support article which doesn't exist. Is it only me?

No bugs on my older 11 so far. Took about 40 minutes to update and that was started at 6:12 pm.

My fave change so far is the ability to remove app names and make the icons a little bigger. Much cleaner looking.

Some of us who've been around a while wait a few days before updating to a new major iOS revision but would still like security updates for the existing iOS...

Check the release dates for:
17.0.1
16.0.1
15.0.1
14.0.1
13.1
12.0.1
11.0.1

etc...

Thanks so much..was not sure what to do and if I should install 17.7 first then go install 18 I guess whatever the security features there are in 17.7 are already supplied in IOS 18

Because the first option is the safest option. Some people may be interested in just getting the latest 17.X security updates without going the whole hog of a major OS update.
