Apple Releases iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 With Home Screen Customization, App Locking, Passwords App, Messages Updates and More

Meh... I'm just going to wait for iOS 19. 
Apple will count all the people who did the 17.7 update by mistake and then to 18.0 as 2 updates. So by the end of the day, Apple can claim that 18.0 is the best OS ever made due to double counting.
Just updated, I see now. Have to swipe up to get the default grid, and then either swipe down or hit the "x" to go into the next category. IMO, the grid should be default like before and the rest of the headings should just be a swipe down. Wish there was an option to have that.
Another question if you know it, how do I re-arrange the first default control center box? It has Airplane mode, Airdrop, Wifi, then 4 mini toggles of cellular data, bluetooth, hotspot, and one other one. I don't ever toggle airplane mode or Airdrop, I keep them off and on 100% of the time, but toggle Bluetooth often. It seems like they're directly corresponding to the third icon on the right side now, but there's no way to re-arrange them or eliminate some in any way that I can see.
I’m hoping for the same effect with my mother. We haven’t spoken because of this since iOS 12.
Great release IMO.
I have two issues :
- Cannot really get used to the new Photos app after a whole month of using it daily 😵 It's better in some ways (Searching Photos is just amazing), but yeah...
- Battery Life : During the last two days, my battery was drained quite fast because of "Flashlight" being "ON" for 14 hrs out of 24. It was ON for maybe 10 minutes total.
That, and Sound Recognition are draining my battery quite a lot (I just turned it OFF).

Ok, so upgraded to IOS18, used the blue tint option...and now all your photos have this blue hue to it??
Updating on the Ipad. Looking forward to seeing what this is and learning about Ipad OS 18, especially the calculater and Math Notes.
Yup agreed glad I only have 1 photo on there.
Control center is a buggy mess, apps crashing and my good god that photos app is one of the most diabolical trash I have ever seen from iOS, Android or even windows.

actually, none of my emails either in Mail, or calendar entries, even after several refreshes in both.
I really, really HATE the new Photos app.
In the old app I could curate a nice “at a glance” look next to Recents with albums for inspiration, work notes, and personal photos in the main section. It all looked really nice and organized, like a quick glance at what I wanted to see.
This demotes picture size, puts the main emphasis on the feed for some reason, and is just extremely busy and unintuitive.

Yeah, everything should continue to work fine on the watch. It just won't get new things. I kept my S0 years past it's last update and even had it paired with my newer iPhone 12 Pro that didn't even exist when the S0 lost software support.
Just came back from the Apple store. They said it's a hardware issue with no power going to the logic board. They did not have my version in stock and have to order it. I will be contacted once it comes in and go to the store to exchange it which can take a few days.
Wow that did not last long I just got the iPad on May 15th.
Trying out Math Notes. sin, cos, tan are working. square, square root working. pi, e working. Integrating x between 1 and 2 not working.
