Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 2 to Developers

Anyone else get syncing working over ethernet? Mac Pro and iPhone are on the same network but I never get the checkbox for Wi-Fi sync. Seems a bit ridiculous considering they are on the same netwrok...
For some reason this beta isn't letting me download my apps...or even sync them back to my phone. i'm gonna try restoring again, but it keeps giving me error messages.
the check box is in itunes beta 2... i dont understand how you just dont have it?
It doesn't have a wireless card. Why be on wireless anyway? Ethernet is way faster.
Really hope OTA updates work from now on, wonder what kind of size they will be, hopefully 50MB
Yes, wifi or 3G does not matter, for Beta iOS to work, you need UDID to added to dev account.
Is this a serious question? Everything else that uses Bonjour does. Wi-Fi sync uses their zeroconf framework to establish the connection.

anything more then 2MB i would be forced to do it over a wifi because i only have 500mb a month so anything more than 2 and it can be 500 for all i care
As mentioned above, it now looks like OTA updates have been enabled. Or at least Apple have laid a bit more groundwork.
When you go into Software Update on Settings.app it now informs you that the software is upto date, whereas previously I seem to recall it just informed you of the feature, and whether you wanted to enable it over mobile or not. Will be interesting and hopefully a LOT quicker to update this way than the old way. Hopefully *fingers crossed* last 800mb update I'll download in a while.

Just tested: redsn0w_mac_0.9.8b1 doesn't work with b2.
EDIT: it does, just point to the old (b1) firmware IPSW (thanks DSchwartz88!)
Yeah it does. Point it to the old b1 ipsw. Jailbreak using the standard procedure. I'm running jailbroken right now
Are you sure you did install the new iTunes beta? With the old, I coudln't sync anything either (ran into the same problem as you).

I don't either. I've installed the iTunes beta, then the iOS beta ... And it is jus not there.
I have a question if anyone can help
Ever since installing iOS 5 beta 1 (and now 2), I havent been able to get the push notifications to work at all for any third party apps (twitter, facebook, etc). The only ones that work are text, mail, etc. Ive done every possible solution, deleting and reinstalling the app, restoring the entire iPhone (from backup), and yes, all settings in every app are correct to have them push the right notifications. I really dont know what to do anymore.
A possible reason for this could be (if I remember correctly), right before installing beta 1 of iOS 5, I turned off all notifications so nothing would get in the way while updating my phone. Could this be a reason why theyre not working now? The setting mistakingly carried over to iOS 5?
