I don't either. I've installed the iTunes beta, then the iOS beta ... And it is jus not there.

Do you have a wireless card/are on the same network as the iPhone? I'd be interested to see if its an ethernet thing or if its something else entirely.

Attach your phone. Select your phone from the sources in iTunes. In the area where you can select whether or not to open iTunes with the phone there is a checkbox underneath. Hopefully that helps you.

There now seems to be no way to dismiss an event notification from Notification Centre. This is going to be pretty irritating...

If I understand the release notes correctly, the notifications are SUPPOSED to be dismissed when the originating App clears the badge.

Photos app for me has a big bug. Faces doesn't work at all. Just puts in random pictures and clicking on a pictures causes a very odd effect.

I should point out that this is for the iPad 2 WiFi.

Seems fairly stable for an iOS beta. So far, I'm impressed.

Im hoping for better battery

Is it just me or was the battery life shocking on V1 like there was a leak somewhere?? It was so bad on mine I had to go back to 4.3.3

Any one else using the 64Bit Windos iTunes Beta 2 saying corrupt when trying to unzip?

Can you elaborate what you mean by screwed up? They look ugly now? They are in a different order? Lost the folders? ...?

When I move a stock app around it stays in place and moves......so now I have two app store icons on the home screen. Both open the app store. Bookmarks bar doesn't have anything on it. But its in the folder

I know with the first Beta you can revert back to 4.3.3 if need be, can anyone confirm if this is still the case with Beta 2? I'm traveling abroad come September and I may need to jailbreak iOS 4 if there is no proper jailbreak for iOS 5. Therefore I need to have an escape route from the Beta.

Without trying to be sarcastic, I know where the selection area is supposed to be, but it just ISN'T there for me.

Yes and yes ... MBP to a AEBS to (natch) iPhone 4.

I just upgraded from Beta 1 to Beta 2 and restored from my iCloud backup in 3 minutes. It restored all my settings, apps, text messages, contacts, photos, etc. Pretty awesome!
How do you restore from iCloud backup!? I lost all my stuff!!!

Did you do a clean install, or restore from backup? I heard others had problems with a restore, but with my clean install, I had NO battery issues.

IIRC, it is pretty much the same with any major iOS release.

So the install went fine and I restored from my most recent iCloud back up, but when it finished it didn't save any of my passwords and I got about 10 pop up notifications at once asking me to re-enter my passwords. Is this happening to other people or do I have some backup settings turned off that I shouldn't?

How do you restore from iCloud backup? The only backups on my mac are the ones from pre-beta 1....I've been backing up to iCloud since but I dont know how to restore from it!!!

Just installed it and it looks like the keyboard bug has been fixed that was in beta 1 :D

I had this problem too, I clean restored to iOS 5 beta 2 again, and then unplugged from USB immediately once the restore finished (when its counting down). Then there will be an option to Restore from iCloud in the initial setup.

It looks like OTA updates will be available going forward. When you check for updates, you no longer get that error about wi-fi not being available.

Mine when I clicked the button on Beta 1 just said no updates availible.

I have a question if anyone can help

Ever since installing iOS 5 beta 1 (and now 2), I havent been able to get the push notifications to work at all for any third party apps (twitter, facebook, etc). The only ones that work are text, mail, etc. Ive done every possible solution, deleting and reinstalling the app, restoring the entire iPhone (from backup), and yes, all settings in every app are correct to have them push the right notifications. I really dont know what to do anymore.

A possible reason for this could be (if I remember correctly), right before installing beta 1 of iOS 5, I turned off all notifications so nothing would get in the way while updating my phone. Could this be a reason why theyre not working now? The setting mistakingly carried over to iOS 5?

If anyone could help, Id appreciate it

To clarify (dumb question), you've changed the settings in the Notification settings pref.pane as well?

Anybody have the 2Do app? Can someone tell me if it will open w/o crashing this time? I don't even need to use it, I just need to be able to SEE my todo list! :) Would LOVE to go back to iOS5... if only 2Do would open (I've had literally no other bugs! Not even the "known" ones!)

After a few days of normal use my i4's batteray went back to about the same usage time as before. Didn't really see a faster drain after a few days of use.
