anyone found apps won't open, tapatalk, facebooj twitboot just crashes on loading?

Actually I just figured it out. Check your iTunes and see if everything is labeled correctly in the storage summary bar at the bottom of the iPhone tab in iTunes. There might be a large block of data labeled "Other." That is due to not updating to iTunes 10.5 beta 5. You can do the update to iOS 5 on iTunes 10.5 beta 4, but everything won't work properly. You have to install the new iTunes beta, then your Phone should sync and the apps will work properly. That block of data will also be labeled correctly, mine happened to be photos.

iOS 5 Features: What I have noticed

New features I have noticed:

Hearing aid mode, new button in camera roll to take you back to camera application, personal setup now gives more info of certain features, and pressing the home button during personal setup will allow you to head back to Wi-Fi settings.

Have posted a video on my youtbue channel natestechupdate to see new features in action.

Thanks

Actually, I'm unable to tweet from my Phone as of now. I can read others tweets though. I guess I will have to survive not telling the world what snack I just ate.

MMS preview bug still there, send someone a pic or have someone send you a pic, then open the pic. you will notice that the top is cut off, you have to zoom out to get the entire picture as there is a big black bar across the top, the bar actually seems bigger in beta 5

AirPlay enabled for all content by default

From BGR's release notes:

"Starting in iOS 5, video content in applications and websites are AirPlay-enabled by default."

This is great news. One less reason to jailbreak for me. Now if they can just allow us to change the default web browser . . .

Looking forward to the public release.

If I understand this correctly, backing up via iCloud and then restoring iCloud will restore all data, mail accounts and pictures, correct? Does it also restore the apps but not in their entirety? Meaning, it will slap the icons back on the screen but will have to go back out and download them all? That's the whole point of iCloud, right? Untethered backup.

it restores all settings, etc, and will put all apps in folders, then it will download them all, but you can use the phone whilst the apps download.

IQ Dev test

So, we had a post before that showed many users obtained their beta tests illegally, and now we have a post full of comments from users who seem unable to work out how to do anything. Maybe Apple need to introduce a developer intelligence test before allowing people to get a beta copy ie 'this is the power button', 'beta means unfinished' etc etc. Might help remove some of the more mentally challenged from needing their hands held.

OTA update for iPad worked great. Didn't have to erase settings or anything. It rebooted and all content is still there. All my apps appear to be working

I'm with you there I miss my gestures too :(

After testing, I put IOS 4 back on my iPad (1) just to get gestures back! Running IOS5 on my iPhone and love it, but I would rather have gestures than the additional features on my iPad...

Chrome on my iPhone .

So, does Safari still lag like a mofo?

Made me laugh.

Are we supposed to have that camera button on the home screen? Haven't seen that yet in all five betas. I feel like it's somewhere in camera settings.
