Siri is only on the new iPhone 4S. It was advertised to be a new feature for the new phone only. If it were a hardware reason (which it might be), only the iPad 2 has hardware like it, right now.

If on regular iPhone 4, you're stuck with the pre-iOS5 voice command feature. Still, I'm glad they mentioned Siri so late in the game, as my main anticipated features are pretty much everything else mentioned. All which does come to previous supported devices.

Most of the worry is why the OTA doesn't say up to date. They want someone who did the public release to try it and post if it says up to date or error.

It is a joke because you can't get rid of the app or at least hide the damn thing. At least I can hide stocks - a useless app for me. It's about selling subscriptions.

I've iOS 5 on my 3GS. If anything it is snappier than iOS 4. The transitions and effects especially are no longer 'laggy' or 'jerky', particularly when trying to launch heavy apps. Safari is also notably zippier than iOS 4.

Have you modified your hosts file before? If yes, you need to revert it back to its original values.

I'm not sure what that means. My phone was jailbroken before, but it crashed completely when I did the Facebook update a couple days ago, so I restored it fresh, and haven't jailbroken it since. I guess it won't hurt to try the TinyUmbrella thing. Will let you know if it works

My guess is that the servers for updates ota aren't up yet and won't be turned on until an update exists.

Does it restore text messages? It doesn't say it backs them up in the iCloud setting menu.
