What is with Apple adding all these sliding buttons? They don't fit into iOS 7. They're doing the same thing with the phone app and calls.

Good 7 sucks. I paid for a phone, pad, phone with a beautiful IOS 6, not the dayglo crap that 7 brought.

I can only imagine Tim Cook holding an emergency meeting to discuss whether the subsequent beta update to the much needed 7.1 update will go a shade darker on the green messages icon.

The only thing I know is that we are discussing about the cosmetics adjustments they are doing, without any knowledge about what's going on with the code on more substantial issues.
I'm sure the long time required to release 7.1 is needed to fix something different than a green icon, but you keep speaking about that because is the only thing you can actually see.

I made a GIF, to compare the keyboard:

Image

Am I the only one who noticed they changed a little bit the gray tone of the keyboard and UI in general ?
A lot of complains about how yellowish the last retina screens are, maybe something is just related to the iOS 7.0.4 UI tint ...

I don't know about it turning green all the time but it would be nice to have the plug back to see when it is sort of probably fully charged. The only way to know for sure is for me to go I to battery detective and see when it is finally starting to drain a little then I know it's done charging. It was kind of like this before on ios 6 but at least then it showed a plug once it was up to full capacity. Now it shows 100% even before it hits the full capacity. It will sit on 100% for up to 35-45 minutes till it's done trickle charging. When I wait this long after the supposed 100% fully charged I always have longer battery life.
Do you have a battery info page in your Settings ???
Is this a new feature of iOS 7.1 ???

I said it in the post. Battery detective. You have to be jailboken though.

Ok, thank you.
Not going to jailbreak my iPhone ....

No, seems like some sort of a battery detective jailbreake tweak or sosmething along those lines.

yeah they changed a number of things about the keyboard. Changed some color related things regarding some icons as well. And added some more color/brightness related options in accessibility settings too.

I know. I'm just being facetious.

That's the whole reason I'm doing this 7.1 beta thing, because it rules over 7.0.4 under the hood that I can feel.

They have fixed a LOT of bugs. All people focus on is the cosmetic side of things and the screenshots you see here, but those of us using 7.1 will tell you that it performs much better than 7.0.4.

On iPad the animation when using the four finger pinch to return home has been fixed. The animations are far smoother, the smoothness when rotating from portrait to landscape has been improved, the keyboard lag is gone, the zoom in/out animation speed has been increased, I could go on.

You're moaning at Apple only focusing on cosmetic things because all you're looking for is screenshots. When using 7.1 it is like night and day. I went back to 7.0.4 while on 7.1 beta 2 just to gauge the difference in performance and it is staggering. The iPad build needed the most work, everyone acknowledged that, and my iPad 4 runs like a dream on 7.1 b2 and b3.

So trust me, Apple ARE addressing the bugs which plagued performance, unfortunately there's no possible way for screenshots to show you that.

Oops, got beat to it, here is incoming call 2. Why are their different versions? The pics don't convey the really clever animations.

I'm sure someone right now doesn't appreciate having their phone numbers posted on the net. Might want to blur those out.

According to the changelog for beta 3, there are issues with iMessage not sending successfully until tapping the "Try Again" option...

Anyone actually experienced this with beta 3?

Thanks,

But what i'm afraid of is that things are getting worse, for example the new circular buttons, giving the screen too much space and also for the slide to power off switch. They don't need to blur something for no reason, and the reduce white option is like changing the color from FFFFFF to F8F8F8 which don't make sense at all.

I love iOS7 but these little things really get my nerves.

Oh and one more thing, the increase contrast make the notification center 100% black & white which i find it really stupid. I mean comeon i kniw they remove textures but give it a little design.

iOS7 really needs a lot of work.

but circular buttons gives the ui so much redunduncy and more space in the screen which make it look like an unfinished work and somethings missing.
They need to stop offering "Accessibility Options" and just get the design right in the first place, rather than hiding options for the complainers in a menu that should be about making the phone more accessible for the impaired.

Is there a reason that there is not a NUMBERS line on top of the keyboard? With having to enter numbers in almost every field you use on the internet, wouldn't it be nice to not have to switch between screens just to get to the NUMBERS section? Especially on the iPad!

The GUI is slowly improving, I like the new rounded phone and power off buttons. They are a great compromise between "flat" and "skeuomorphic" design; just enough polish. I only wish iOS 7 found that balance throughout the GUI from the beginning, but I hope it continues to improve. It may seem trivial, but the GUI can make or break a systems success.

I want to see them finally combine/recode the notes and reminders apps to be much better than they are. ios7 kinda broke them in usability, i don't like skeuromophic design but they killed the intuitiveness!

Didn't use reminders until iOS7. Happy with them except a little work setting a due date- think it should be doable with less clicks.
