Can someone post a screenshot with that option enabled please?

Thx,

Dark keyboard looks improved.

That looks the same as the previous one and doesn't seem like the bold is turned off--looks different than the rest of the screenshots of the keyboard (without bold enabled).

Maybe it is a bug. A couple other people posted pictures like this, and they had bold text turned off, too.

It was there in beta 2 as well: http://9to5mac.com/2013/12/13/apple-releases-ios-7-1-beta-2-to-developers/

Strange, I guess enabling and disabling the bold text option and/or restarting the phone might (hopefully) get it back to normal if that's the case.

I'm getting this from the original article on page 1 of this thread:

"The company also lists several known issues, suggesting that iOS 7.1 is not yet ready for public release.

According to a recent report, iOS 7.1 will see a lengthy testing period with a public release coming in March. Beta 3's release notes indicate that a number of known issues remain with iOS 7.1, which must be fixed before the software can see a general release."
What you are quoting is pure drivel. There have been few, if any, legitimate leaks involving Apple's software plans (obviously there are Chinese hardware leaks all the time). Neither MacRumors nor anyone else knows 7.1's release date. If it is in fact being released in March, that would only be because of a desire to release it along with new hardware or add more features, not because there are a few bugs in the beta released on 7 Jan.

Please remember when reading the stories here that MacRumors is purely going for clicks- there is no quality control. The recent ridiculous story about Apple releasing a 'corporate iPad' is proof of this point. Similarly, the fact that they published the March claims doesn't mean that they have any actual evidence.

I can only imagine Tim Cook holding an emergency meeting to discuss whether the subsequent beta update to the much needed 7.1 update will go a shade darker on the green messages icon.

I can't imagine that, but I can imagine Steve Jobs doing it complete with some boardroom janitorial work being needed after the meeting for it having been wrong in the first place.

Look at the time in both screenshots. One is with bold turned on and the other is with bold turned off...

iOS 7.1 in March?

So another few months of bug riddled mess that is 7.0 for the public?

Apple quality indeed

Would you rather them release 7.1 this month and add a ton MORE bugs to that "riddled mess"? Or would you rather them wait till march so they can squash almost all of the currently existing bugs?

First time i dislike a change

Nooooo... the changed one of the things i loved the most. When u assigned a wallpaper to someone, and that someone called u, you saw the wallpaper in the whole screen. Why did they change that to the tiny circle to the right? :(:(

Well, somehow it seems like the bold didn't get removed from the keyboard there for some reason.

They didn't change that..

i have 2 questions: 1) is the facetime icon different? if yes plz a picture if you can
and second question- when somebody is calling you is now available the button to reject the call like in ios6? because in ios7 till present 0.4 when you are receiving a call and your phone display was turned off, you cannot reject unless you press 2xsleep/wake button. Still you have a reject button if someone calls you while you are using your iphone

I just noticed the same thing. It used to depend how you added the photo, but now the same thing that was working there before isn't doing it now.

Perhaps it's a bug (it is a beta after all), or perhaps it's a change where it now needs to be done differently somehow to get the same effect, or perhaps its a change where it's not an option anymore due to the redesigned icons for actions on the screen (rather than text "buttons") and readability concerns because of that.

Mine changed. And it looks empty... When that person calls you you see your wallpaper blurred, the tiny answer and decline, and the name and the tiny bubble with his pic to the right... its uglyyyyy
