Nope. Before 7.1 it was only "immediately" and "15 minutes".

Huge performance boost in A7 based devices.
It just feels snappier.
Likely depends on something else, like an Exchange account that could control that. I had and still have 15 minutes as the max with my work Exchange account, while without it it could go to more, like 1 hour and beyond.Haven't seen this reported yet...
Previously the "Require Passcode" max length was "After 5 minutes."
New options are "After 15 minutes," 1 hour, and 4 hours.
15m. Yes. Digging this.
My iPad mini running 7.0 has 2 minutes, 5, minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes.Nope. Before 7.1 it was only "immediately" and "15 minutes".
Because if they did iOS would be no better than Android. It's the lock down that keeps so much Malware off of the platform. The last thing anyone, jailbreakers or not need is a bunch of newbies trying any old **** they can download from crapware.com. You think there's complaining from the jailbreak community now? If Apple allowed anyone to jail break you'd get that, plus blame for bad apps\malware apps\spyware apps, poorer customer satisfaction, and bad reputation. The B***h**g would go up by at least 100x or more. No, if you want to tinker with the guts of iOS and try all these cool apps you can grab from Bob's House of Burgers & Software it's far far better for the rest of us if you have to jump through hoops to do it.It's a damn shame Apple patched the jailbreak. Steve Jobs is gone, why can't they just forget about the BS and let people do what they want with their phones? ******** if you ask me.
Or perhaps finally pretty good that they spend this much time fixing and testing (and perhaps refixing) it all.6 months to fix the random rebooting home screen. Pretty poor QC at Apple these days.
Are you sure? I thought it was always like that...
how do you perform a clean install? i'm downloading the update now in iTunes. I selected "download only" not "download and install"
do i need to import my pics to iphoto before the clean install? i backed up the phone just a min ago
Nope. Before 7.1 it was only "immediately" and "15 minutes".
Statistical tidbit... iPhone 5 and 5S started the update at the same time. iPhone 5 has restarted twice and is almost done after about 6 minutes. 5S is still Preparing update.
lol.
Does anyone know if this fixes the issue where "other" would erroneously take over all of your storage space?
Can anyone confirm if this update resolves the crashing issue with Safari? Thanks.

Why would it lock if you were watching something on it?Very sure. Tried last night to increase it - got tired of it locking while I was watching a movie. Lots of thoughts like, "Seriously? It's been 5 minutes already?!"
