I AM ALMOST THERE!! Took me about five tries of it saying that it failed. Then I prepared the update for about 20 minutes. Then installed. Now I'm just waiting on the final install (gray screen with apple logo and loading bar). Woo!!

Apple always worries about selling as much iPhone's and iPad's as possible

but when it comes to updating XXX million devices, it's such a pain in the A-SS

You could always wait and download tomorrow.

Try restarting all your devices, and do OTA update instead of through iTunes.

This worked for me on my iPhone after repeated attempts.

It started downloading the update first try after rebooting. Thanks!

Is anyone else getting a error message when attempting to upgrade saying it cannot get the requested resource? Anyone??

I think you need to downgrade to iOS 1 and then upgrade each iOS update individually until you get back to 7....that's the only way to make sure!
