I got iOS7 available just before 10 PST and finished install around 11 PST.

Looks cool, but it's not that revolutionary. I'm getting tired of iPhones. I have an iPhone 4S and I'll probably look into getting the upcoming Nexus 5 phone.

The good news is that I can uninstall the free flashlight app since it's now in the Control Center.

You're swiping down from your home screen? With all your app icons? Touch near the middle of the screen and pull down towards the bottom.

Settings, General, Spotlight Search, is everything checked?

It might grow on me, but I have to agree. It's ugly. Too light, no textures and difficult to read when on texting or emails. Too much white overall, etc. Hope I am just having new iOS-anxiety:)

I'm not sorry to have updated but I do wish the colours were a bit less acid. Richer hues would've been love at first sight for me.

Updated iPod 5th gen first... Then maybe iPhone 5. So far the iPod has failed 2x on OTA update.... Hmmmmmm

iTunes update was incredibly fast. 10-15min to download and then 5 min to install in on the ipad. I did a restore and update.

Same here (time wise), I used those direct links to pull the files down from Apple, but then itunes to image the iPad. 20 minutes overall and its done.

Here's links to the files directly at Apple guys:

Here's how to tell your Itunes to use the files:

Mine seems to be stuck on Preparing Update. How long should this take? Doing OTA because Itunes didn't acknowledge ios 7 was even out.. Doing this on a 4s btw.

Bummer

Seems that the Remote app has yet to receive an update.

The current version cannot control iTunes Radio.

Also, you cannot (yet) airplay iTunes Radio from an iDevice.

Hope Apple remedies all this ASAP.

In my opinion this new iOS is ugly. Wow, I'm kind of flabbergasted that this is Jonathan Ives's work. After the update my iPad Mini looks cheaper and the screen seems poorly composed. I actually miss all the skeuomorphism of the old os. Really there were just a few apps that were hideous before, imo. Game Center and Notes were the worst. Calendar was pretty ugly, and Contacts was passable. All the rest was extremely well done. But now they all seem too stark and very cheap. All the non-Apple app icons stick out like sore thumbs, and you REALLY have to be ok with a whole lot of white to get into this new iOS. As for me I'm sorry I updated. The bubbles are tacky as hell. Apple has taken so many steps backwards with this update.

Ives would be fired if Steve was alive

iPad3 froze

Anyone's iPad3 freeze after about 20 minutes of use after installing iOS7? He says it froze and it won't turn off.

Mistake

Well this update sucked.

My battery has dropped 15% in the last hour with minimal use, the list / agenda view is gone for my calendar which I depended on heavily. The amount of animations are irritating, and the colors and icons are horrible.

iPad update took 25 minutes OTA, still waiting on iPhone

How do you get the (newly) free Apple iOS apps, like Pages, Keynote, and iMovie? When I go to the App Store, they are still showing at their regular price.

Done - Look is a bit shocking, but I like it. Not fond of the grey background for folders.

In mail, to delete a message from the list, you can swipe to the left (no longer to the right) and choose "move" or "trash"

Also, control center is nice, but add the hotspot toggle, please!

Please don't bash, but Safari is (I won't use THAT word) fast. When you click to see your open pages, it's in a vertical cover flow...nice!

still cannot activate my phone. why does a phone need to be activated after updating a software update? it was activated the day i got it. i didnt sign a new contract to update my god damn phone. this is my only means of phone communication that has now been bricked for an hour because apples stupidity to make me activate my phone because of a software update?

lets see how many important phone calls i miss because of having to wait an hour for my phone to activate? how about some sort of warning before starting that says hey after we install software you may need to wait 14 days to activate your phone. sorry for taking away your means of communication.
