iPhone 6 here with T-Mobile. Touch id and phone service doesn't work. But I can do wifi calling.

... and this is what happens when you don't push it to devs first and rush it out. There was nothing on the developer site indicating an update before it was pushed out live.

When will Apple learn not to rush things out?

Why don't you just do it yourself...youre wasting your time they won't be able to help you

Tell me how to do it without plugging into a computer with iTunes? I am at work and Apple store is down the street. This was their update that made my phone a paperweight. They will fix it.

Good thing I didn't update my phone.

On the bright side the slow Safari has been fixed.

I don't have TouchID or cellular service so I can't speak to that.

My 6+, unboxed an hour ago, is now having the same issues after the upgrade (really need to read here first) ... no cellular (have a Cricket sim in a Tmobile phone that worked before the upgrade) and no Touch ID (when I try to set up more fingers, it tells me it failed).

Updated with iTunes. The update seems to have been installed (by checking the iPad), but iTunes complained about some ID number -- sorry, didn't write down the message -- not being correct or found, and the iPad (Air) did not show up in iTunes. I quit iTunes and restarted it and all looks OK.

Yeah. No way this update was supposed to go live to all users. Somebody ******** up

I feel bad for iMessaging my friend that 8.0.1 is out to download now so we can use our health apps finally. I got distracted and was just about to update.

He must have updated, because I haven't heard from him since!!

So far I've only seen iPhone 6 and 6+ users complain about loss of Service and Touch ID. Is that correct? Anybody with a 5S or below lose service or does this issue only affect 6 users ?

5s OK

Data point, not bragging: iPhone 5s on Verizon here. DLed and installed 8.0.1 before seeing all the pain reports. No prob. Still have VZ, still have WiFi.

Don't you guys get it?? It's a feature to allow those who accidentally bent their iPhones to go into the store complaining about No Signal and get a new phone for free!!!
