Do you personally know everyone that installed the update? Because your statement is just ridiculous. Apple said than less than 40.000 units were affected.
You definitely can, because perfection is out of this world, and there are thousands of variables involved in this field, so releasing a software update is DANGEROUS, it doesn't matter how deeply you tested it. You just can't test all the possibilities ...
Everyone with a little knowledge know that, but haters gonna hate nevertheless ...

iTunes gets the full install file instead of just the delta update. Been that way for a long tome. How the ****?
I think the point is, %#&! happens sometimes, on every platform, with every category of purchase, at every price point.
Are you trying to advocate some kind of compensation is required? Do you think the 40,000 affected users should all file an international class action lawsuit? On what basis of damages?
I really don't get what you want or expect? You got a fix in one day, and you got detailed instructions on how to fix the issue temporarily so you could use your phone within a couple of hours. You also got an apology directly from the company.
Should really be end of story, right?
PS - Update working fine in Sweden on 2 iPad 2's, 1 iPad rMini, 1 iPad Air, 1 iPhone 5, and 1 iPhone 4S. No problems, iPad 2's noticeably smoother.
The workaround didn't really apply to those who are without a computer. And given how much Apple has stressed the whole PC-free thing it's not hard to imagine that there would be people in that situation. I'm not completely sure what would have been better for people in that situation, but Apple didn't really address their issue until later when they fixed the issue without providing a viable workaround to those people in the meantime.Yes they did no question. But they provided a work around within hours and worked around the clock to provide a new update/fix. What else can they possibly do? Crap happens not only to Apple but most companies out there. All they can do is address it as quickly as possible and they did. I can see the replies coming fanboy, apple defender, blah blah blah none of which is true. I am in IT and I know that things happen. All anyone can do is resolve it as quickly as possible. Even Apple is not perfect.
