Control Center still randomly deactivates while in Apps or Home screen on my 5S even with this update.

Here's to hoping it fixes the performance issues of the 6 Plus.

I just downloaded the update on my 5S and the Wi-Fi issues are a little better but they're still not pre-iOS 8

My experience wasn't too pleasant and not sure how frequent it is with others (haven't read this whole thread).

Anyway, there was an error during the update process on my iPhone 6. I powered the iPhone back on and it had a screen showing to plug it into the PC for iTunes. It was already plugged in, so I just unplugged and restarted iTunes, replugged in phone, and then iTunes told me I had to restore the iPhone.

So, I went through that process and it gave an error again. I was back at that connect my iPhone to iTunes screen again. Tried the restore a second time and same deal. Said okay forget this, went to Apple Store and they did a factory reset there to 8.0.2. Back at home I restored all my stuff from a backup that was done before the original attempt to update and everything seems back to normal now. I haven't experienced any issues thus far other than the update effectively bricking my iPhone.

I'm not sure what would have caused the error to begin with since nothing extraordinary happened on my side while it was doing the update.

I really like how auto-brightness do its job.

Yeah, it works on my iPhone 6 even when disabled; screen dims by itself sometimes even though I have maximum brightness set

Hoping its software related and not a hardware issue. Also had to reboot last night because the networking just basically stopped - still running vanilla 8 - and this never happened with my 5s or 4...

Setting own photo as wallpaper, it gets blurred (pixelated when zooming in)

Anyone else still noticing the bug that slipped in when iOS 8 came out?

BUG
---When you want to use any of your own photos as wallpaper/background, it gets blurred/pixelated when you try to zoom in to set any particular part of those photos as your wallpaper.

They zoom in just fine (pixel-perfect-sharp) when viewed inside the photos app, yet not within the wallpaper-settings..
(Even when the photos are of much-higher res than the HD/retina screen.)

--iOS 7 didn't have this problem (for me at least)

Updating to iOS 8.0.2 sadly didn't fix it either...:(

Why are people updating OTA anyway ? This is one of those "because we can" issues isn't it ?

I've been updating OTA since the early 2000's with my Nokia phones. It was a massive backwards step when Apple made updates only possible via iTunes. At least OTA updates on iPhone were eventually made possible but it should have been possible since day 1.

They really need to fix the rotation bug , I'm having to restart me phone a couple of times a day because it keeps getting stuck in landscape

iCloud backup no longer works with 8.0.2.

Keep ****ing up, apple you're on a roll.

Still has the Bluetooth problem with calling in the car with the iPhone 6. Major problem. I reset all setting on iOS 8 which fixed the issue. Then after upgrading to 8.0.2 it came back and I to reset everything again. This is ridiculous. The internal testing they did on iOS 8 is pathetic. There are always bugs in new software; things like making phone calls and such shouldn't be on that list.

iOS 8.0.2 did not correct wifi / cell conflict on either of our two iPhone 5s's. Cannot launch apps or use safari if cell and wifi both turned on. Must turn cell off to launch apps or browse safari. Of course that eliminates calls and texts. Have also had conflict with "some" texts with both turned on. Some apps still close unexpectedly on wifi only (at work and home wifi).

Updated my 6 Plus (Verizon), 4S (cellular disabled) and iPad 3 (Verizon) to 8.0.2. No problems at all.
How's iOS 8.0.2 on the 4S? Is it sluggish compared to iOS 7?

UPDATED:

If you are iPhone 5 and 4S owner, this update is a MUST. It makes everything faster and smoother than ever.
4S & iPad Mini updated, no issues.

Not strangely, both feel snappier......my imagination?
4S and Ipad3 updated OTA with no issues.
4S seems a lot faster by the way..
Update done on 4s and iPad air. Everything looks fine.
How is the 4S w/8.0.2? Are you saying it's better and faster than iOS 8.0 or iOS 7? (Read that 8.0 was not recommended for 4S.)

Nothing wrong with mine. Didn't disable it during the install and easy to switch on and off.

Did you pay the bills :p

I think it is car specific. Works absolutely fine in my VW Golf R 2014 and also in my Mercedes GL 2013. And also in the Mercedes C class 2014 I had three weeks ago on my 5S with beta iOS. However I had a B class yesterday whilst mine got serviced and that one had an issue.
