How come I keep getting 1.90 - 2.00GB updates on my iPad Air2 and iPhone 6+ every time while most of you are in the few hundred MBs???

Anyone?

Downloading through iTunes will always be a full download. Downloading the update on the device will only download the changed files and be a much smaller download.

I'm using swiftkey and the problem seems to be solved with this update. I have been playing around for 20 minutes now switching between sms, e-mail, safari, spotlight and no hickups so far :)

Still have bug where (stock) keyboard lags badly while typing inside a conversation and new messages arrive in notification center.

I just updated to 8.1.2. I guess I pass on this one.

Why? What great logic is that? This update has been tested for a while.
8.1.2 was the worst out of all 8.x.x updates anyway, not including the one that messed up the signal and Touch ID on iPhone 6.

it also seems that continuity and airdrop are finally working as advertised. They are both super fast to respond here now.

What's wrong in updating again?

Nothing's wrong with updating. Just like there's nothing wrong with waiting to see if an update breaks anything. Those of us who delay updating a couple of weeks owe the early adopters a debt of gratitude for being our testers.

Unless an update is critical or addresses an issue I have, I will usually wait 2-4 wks before actually considering updating. Update break anything? No. Then I decide if the update is beneficial to me. If I am running into no issues, I often skip the update.

Continuity always worked for me although air drop sometimes just has a mind of its own. It seems the UI lag and stutter is mostly gone as far as I can tell which is nice. It's a shame they are still not addressing the UI glitches like
A) folder corner glitch
B) certain text overlapping the border in settings
C) iPad Air play menu

UI still lagy (5c) just go to delete mode on homescreen and now change the pages u can see the ****ing lagg :| it was okay in 8.1 and before that .

LOL, of course, they were artificially inflating the size of the software update. Now they're going to have to disclose in the lawsuit what they did to shrink the size of the software updates.

:apple: "Oh, we just never bothered to optimize the files ... up until consumers sued our asses."

What about media files from my messages app disapearing? Years of photos, that were stored in the conversation are gone, simply replaced by giant question marks.

Apples QC has seriously gone down hill. Long live 10.6.8, and iOS6
