So many fixes!!!

This is what 8.1 should have done. It fixes SO many little things that drove me crazy. Something as simple as not being able to tidy up the addresses tied to my credit cards in Passbook.

My favorite so far is 3rd party keyboards finally work. I hated that Messages bug where I had to quit the app.

And I was also able to write a review in the App Store using a 3rd party keyboard! :D

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the feedback app? Downloaded the beta version without actually being invited by Apple and now that I'm back on the regular 8.3 that app is still there...

as a gay black man in a 3 way relationship with 4 adopted gay male children, i am completely offended that the gay families are all white and i cannot change it. this is so racist!!!!

Should have used a better example - they're all yellow, which is void of race like all the regular ones. :p

i still never updated to 8.2 :p

My phone still shows i need to update to 8.2 .. Do i need to updated then update again?

About damn time, only took them over a year to fix. This was broken since iOS 7.1 on the iPhone and iPad.

This issue was only when using the 12hr clock, with the 24hr clock the timer was fine.

Fixes an issue where remaining time on timer would sometimes incorrectly display as 00:00 on Lock screen

Apple posts more information on carrier settings updates here: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201270. As the page explains, the updates may affect network, calling, cellular data, messaging, personal hotspot, and voicemail settings.

Apple also explains is that some carrier settings updates aren't optional. When a settings update is compulsory, you will only see a message indicating that the update has been downloaded: you then tap 'Ok,' rather than choosing whether to update or not.

I guess mine was updated with the software.. It says 19.1 for Sprint. Thanks again for this link

Removing feedback app

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the feedback app? Downloaded the beta version without actually being invited by Apple and now that I'm back on the regular 8.3 that app is still there...

Same thing happened to me. Go into settings, general, profiles and remove the profile.
This should remove the feedback app.

Anybody know why I can't see carplay settings in the general section? I have seen images of it there so i am guessing it should still be there...

Or did they change it so you only have to pair from the car now and do nothing on the phone to set up?

Would any of the 50+ people who upvoted this care to explain why they did so?

It seems like the most random thing to upvote. It's not funny (IMO), it's not useful... so what on earth warranted that it be upvoted by such a huge margin above any other post?

I didn't invite but I giggled. Giggling is upvoteworthy I think.

I'm on a 5s still running 7.1.2.

Any reason to upgrade yet? I heard before that iOS8 will a bit laggier than ios7, and I didn't see any features that I really wanted.

Obviously I'll eventually have to upgrade since most developers only support about 2 versions of iOS in their apps, but am debating when to do it.

What are people seeing for:

1. responsiveness / lagginess on older devices
2. any outstanding bugs that are driving you crazy on 8 that didn't exist on 7?

The 8.2 update broke my Wifi, I downgraded immediately to get my connection back. In case anyone else experienced this, please let me know if this is a known bug that got fixed in 8.3.
I'm not eager to update yet.
TNX!

If only I wouldn't lose my jailbroken songs when updating....

Also it's funny how popular the new emojies are becoming already

black people emojis

has anyone noticed that when you send black people emoji's to someone who doesn't have iOS 8.3, they receive a white person emoji with an alien next to it?

almost as if you can't recognise race unless you update your phone's OS...

almost as if black people are white people aliens...

I'm noticing several apps are now broken. Marvel Unlimited refuses to load and several games that use Game Center don't work properly. I hope I don't have to wait until the developers patch things

Update successful on iPad mini 2. Now maybe my senses are just warped but it seems like the color, contrast, gamut, something is improved on the mini 2. Anyone else notice anything?

Keyboard keys are not disappearing. Happened after about 5 hours of use. This is the first annoying bug. Copy/paste seems fixed though.

Basically in almost any scenario where I need to do some multitasking. Few examples:

Example 1
- I am listening to one song in Spotify
- I'm also browsing the web
- After a minute or two, I notice, no music is playing
- Go back to Spotify: boots from start (e.g. Spotify logo for a few seconds before continuing where I left off).
(and, if I've got some bad luck:) - After selecting a song, go back to Safari... only to find out the webpage refreshes.

Example 2
- I'm writing something on a website using Safari
- I need to look something up in another app
- I go back to Safari, webpage refreshes and I lost my progress

Example 3
- I'm using Facebook
- Now I'm going to use some Twitter
- Some Whatsapp
- Some Snapchat
- Back to Facebook: it's got to reload again (Facebook logo for a few seconds before I can use the app again) *damn it*
- Back to Twitter: it's got to reload again *damn it*
- etc.

These are just a few examples. It's not something that is 'immediate'. E.g. I can open Facebook, than Whatsapp, than Snapchat and than Facebook again in just a few seconds and multitasking is doing just fine. But if I use all these apps for a few minutes before switching back, they all have to load from scratch.

Apparently, it's not an issue for everyone, but for me it is. And what is even worse, in my opinion, is that the now nearly 3 year old iPhone 5 does a better job at multitasking.

Isn't this issue occurring on basically every iOS devices for the last few years? I don't remember the iPhone 4 having this issue at release but the one I keep around as an iPod / Apple TV remote reloads apps almost everytime I switch between apps, same as my iPhone 5s.

If some one in Apple is reading this, please change the horrendous Photos app.
Its very unintuitive .

How about you make it folder based like in the Finder where we can store pictures in specific folders instead of the clutter mess Albums.

Also, for foreign languages please don't move the "keyboard selection" button when switching between languages and emoji . Its FRUSTRATING

WiFi calling has finally arrived in the UK.

I'm on EE & now have the option to turn on WiFi Calls on my iPhone 6 (I think it applies to 6+ too).

[Edit] - Just to add, I'm on a 12 month SIM Only contract.
