these software updates are becoming joke; why release two weeks back 9.0 if the 9.0.1 is coming out soon?

soon there will be 9.1

Why release 9.1 when 9.2 is coming? By your logic, they'd never release anything since there's always something left to patch up. As much as I believe that they should get a release right before they release it, they're going to release the first one sooner than later to get it in as many hands as possible.

Thanks for being so courteous and kind with your genuine response. It really helps the community here grow as a collective.

Maybe I should have been more specific. Are there any major issues that a particular user was experiencing that was not listed here but this update addressed for them?

Is that better for you?
Lol don't get angry at me that you can't formulate and structure a question properly.

I can't imagine that there would be many fixes beyond the release notes. It's kind of black and white dude. If it's not in the release notes then it's probably not fixed.

You'll most likely be waiting till November till 9.1 is released. Even then, 9.1 is considered a major sub-release as it's main focus is to deliver new features. AKA, 9.0.1 is the bug fix for 9.0. When 9.1 is released, the new features will be buggy and require 9.1.1. You could be waiting decades for iOS to be stable.

Either you bite the bullet now or wait forever. Heck, who knows if we'll even wake up tomorrow?

anecdote isn,t proof, but being in public beta and not seeing major issues is; calling someone out when you got nothing is pretty poor form.

A release that nearly bricks a phone, so slow it is unusable, like several older versions is objectively worse, no question.

You did say worse ever and not merely having a few bugs didn't you buddy.

I'm merely mocking you for making an "objective" statement. One that is easily disproved by the number of issues that were raised during the beta that still are a concern. It is certainly subjectively great from your perspective, that seems clear. But do yourself a favor and refrain from making objective declarations.

Yes, there have been releases that have "bricked" phones in the past. And the update bug that many have reported is essentially that... Something that will not allow a user to proceed. Right?

And you've determined that in the past 10 minutes?
I've had a better battery experience after installing 9.0.0; though it is worth noting that I had done a factory restore while on 8.4.1 to unlock my phone (switched from AT&T to Verizon). After I installed 9.0.0 battery drain was a bit higher (presumably due to indexing) but after a couple of days, I saw a big improvement to battery life.

Ah, nice.

I can wait for 9.1. I'm getting my 6S Plus on Friday, can't be bothered to throw a beta on my 6 Plus for just a day and a half of use, the lag issues aren't bad enough to warrant that. We'll see how the 6S Plus handles 9.0.1.

Does any one else have this bug where if you have audio playing, and if you access camera from another app with headphones in, volume gets muted (all the way down to 0). For ex, I am playing audio in podcast app and sending a pic in hangout/whats app, volume gets down to 0.

I'm also getting my 6s Plus on Friday but I'll start that as a new phone and just start fresh.

iOS 9.1 includes new emoji and settings for acclimating the "Hey Siri" activation feature to an individual user's voice.

The feature acclimating "Hey, Siri" to an individual user's voice was present in the 9.0 public release. I turned "Hey, Siri" on after installing the 9.0 public release and I was prompted to say "Hey, Siri" a number of times so it could become acclimated to my voice.

My Phone app on my iPhone is showing a notification indicator with no number inside. Just a red dot that won't go away. I don't have my SIM installed in it right now though.

Darn this didn't fix the Calendar app issue where I have to click on a day (in month view) up to 20 times before it loads.

Huh? 9.0 was released. It had some issues. It was fixed quickly my apple. You should be praising apple for a quick response instead of complaining. Oh, I forgot, if people don't complain in a forum, then something is wrong. How sad

Disregard the above, I signed out of iCloud earlier on today and apparently that wipes all your card details...
Don't worry. The MO here, with all due respect, is to complain first (even before there is anything to complain about), then use logic, reason, etc later on. It's just the nature of the internet and forums nowadays.
