Disregard the above, I signed out of iCloud earlier on today and apparently that wipes all your card details...

Yes, isn't that lovely.
Because of my Instant Hotspot not working issue, I checked out a thread on Apple Support were they happily tell you to log out iCloud on both devices.
The part where all your Apple Pay cards go bye bye, they left that little nugget out of the thread.

And my Credit Union needs a phone call, all kinds of security questions and transaction details to set up.
It was wonderful going though that process twice in a week.

Let's hope it also fix the AirPlay issue. I have been having problem with AirPlay on Bose and B&W speakers since the update to iOS9 from 8.4...

Yup I've got the pleasure of going through all that again....

Should have stayed on iOS8, updated to 9 and will do this update tonight. Does anyone know if it fixes that "bug" where it shows a timer of 0.00 when sending texts? I saw how some people were dealing with that in Text Settings, but it still pops up. Very annoying.

I installed 9.0.1, and it seems to have removed all of the app updates that I've installed over the past week. I now have 20 pending app updates, dating back to September 15. And I'm absolutely sure that I installed all of them previously.

I had 30+ app updates on my iPhone and iPad today with 9.0, so I don't think it was the 9.0.1 updated that did it.

How to crash iOS 9:

1) Open Skype app
2) Enter any contact's chat
3) Open Skype's emoticons
4) Press Home button

The whole thing lags for about 20 seconds until it goes to the home screen. If you press the Home button more than once (e.g. three quick times), the whole OS crashes.

I Switched reduce transparency and motion on and off and it fixed my lag don't know how but it did running really smooth now.

I have turned it on and off and with it reduced transparency on it improves the lag. Are you seeing less lag with reduce transparency off?

How do I stop receiving public beta updates? I was running 9.1 and wanted to go to the release of 9.0.1. Software update just listed 9.1 beta 2. I want to stop with the betas for now. Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Thom

Did that fix instant hotspot? I just noticed I cannot create hotspot from my mac.

If you are being prompted for 9.1 b2 you are not on the public beta. You are on the dev beta. So you need to either download the IPSW file for 9.0.1 or put device in recovery mode and restore via iTunes.

Thanks! That actually works though it used to open the day view with a single tap in iOS 8. I'm using an iPhone 6.
Yeah, it's a bug in 9.0 it seems, and I've heard that it's back to working with a single-tap (like before) in 9.1 (at least the betas so far).

I'm also getting my 6s Plus on Friday but I'll start that as a new phone and just start fresh.
For some time I though that clean install will give me better experience, in fact, I gave up on it and now doing only upgrades for iOS and OS X and everything works is the same. I had issues with iOS even after clean install, never I had any problems caused by upgrade. I regret doing clean installs, I lost so many data and time settings everything up, I though that's everything in cloud now and I am safe but than in 2 weeks I discovered that I lost all my saves in some game and all my sketches in another app.
Relax and do upgrade, this is worth it even for Health alone.

You need to follow this manual. No need to restore through iTunes.

  1. Unenroll from the Beta Program by going to https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/unenroll and use the link at the bottom.
  2. Go to Settings > General > Profiles. Select Apple Beta Profile, scroll down and hit delete, then yes on the confirmation.
  3. Just in case your iDevice already downloaded the iOS 9.1 update, check Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage. If you see the iOS 9.1 beta there then select it and delete.

I always do software updates and not restores but when I get a new phone I usually start fresh.

However, now that you mention health data I might change my mind. I don't want to lose all my Apple Watch data and just realized I will if I start fresh.
