iPhone 6 Plus still slow, laggy, and crap.

I guess Apple has no intention on dice fixing a 1 year old phone, they rather have me buy a new phone.

Bye bye iPhone, hello Nexus 5X. At least Google's Nexus line with Stock Android has never given me any problems, and my 2013 Nexus 5 runs better than my 1 year old 6 Plus.

Pretty short sighted when a lot of reports on here say that the 5, 5S and 4S have all improved

And obviously android releases updates regularly that are compatible with all devices. Google tend to forget year old or more devices.

Nothing here in Holland........(with or without reboot)

What is going on, has the PB4 become the GM and the final release without a single change?
This is the most odd thing I have ever seen with updates till now.

You didnt read my comment properly. I have a 6 Plus, not a 5, 5S, etc.

Also, you are unaware of Google's practices. They fully support their Nexus devices. My 2012 Nexus 4 still receives the latest updates. I think you were talking about Samsung, HTC, etc when talking about forgetting phones. It falls on them (OEMs) to update their Custom Android to the lastest release from Google. The Nexus devices use Stock (not custom) android, so they always have the lastest software.

What version number is his update ? I am with 9.2 latest dp 13C75 and still do not receive any updates....

Still tons of lag on a 1 year old $1000 phone. Getting sick of this.

Also, have been getting lag lately on an iPad Air 2. This is not even an out-of-date model like my iphone 6 plus.

Why do I pay premium prices again? Oh, because the software and hardware are made by the same people so it is all integrated and works seamlessly. Yeah, ok. I gave Apple $4-5k last year. Maybe I'll take that elsewhere.

Honestly, I am only excited for the release of news OSs and updates because I am hoping that they fix the bugs I have. I no longer care about new features, they are all boring and often don't work. Nowadays, I just want the update to fix problems that I've had for a very long time, or that were introduced by the last update. So tired of this crap.

I like that I have almost no room on my iPhone, yet it still allowed me to install it.

Prior, I'd have to spend 20 mins deleting pictures/apps/etc... to allow it to install

So far 9.2 has been running smother than 9.1 on my 6+. Getting into multitasking is a lot smoother and so is swiping between apps. Sometimes there is still some stutter when I swipe to the home screen. There is still a slight delay when tapping apps too. I hope it stays like this. It seems everything gets worse over time.

Just updated my 6+, and it has gotten rather warm during the update.

Anyone else had their 6+, or iPhone in general get warm during this update? I don't remember that ever happening before. Odd, or...

The 6 plus was laggy at the Apple Store display table which was a turn off for me. The 6S plus wasn't much better. Can you sell it while it still has value?

Do you know if Nexus makes any really good phones around 4.2 to 4.3 inches. I am also looking for a new phones but want to find one close to the size of the 5S.

I consider myself a heavy smartphone user-- usually killing my 6s+ battery easily before the day ends. So I would consider myself more knowledgeable than most regarding glitches, frequent crashes, lagging, etc. I've also done QA work previously.

I can say with certainty that the cause of the 6+ lagging is the lack of sufficient RAM. I have the 6S+, and while it introduces some new issues it its own right, the frequent lagging, freezing, etc. can almost always be attributed to the lack of RAM in the 6+. The same types of issues are fixed in the 6S+. New problems with the 6S+ include unresponsiveness to touch and freezing, but in my experience this tends to always seem software driven rather than a hardware issue.

While I totally understand your frustration (as I was frequently frustrated with my 6+), thru reading through the forums and my own experience, I can assuredly attribute the issues to lack of a resources (RAM) in the device. It's also worth noting that regardless of whether you paid $1000+ for the 128gb phone or about $800 (After taxes) for the 16gb phone, that this problems exists in either scenario.

Yeah I suppose but typically dont if nothing has changed. And in reality it doesnt really matter. Most users will have no idea about a build number or what it is or even care. Heck a lot don't even know the version of iOS they have just that there was "some update" it said to do

I already ran into a couple of issues (one work app, one store app) that read the build number and tells me the app does not support beta.

And? I said that I paid $1000 for it. I would be just as mad if I paid $800. It's about the same.

Maybe because there is nothing to fix ...

Yes ... Great quality in a Huawei Nexus phone .... Lol

This lie is so old it's hard to believe people still use it. lol

Just do it. It's your money. We don't care. I hope you don't lose sleep over the fact that we don't beg you to stay with Apple.

"In the Hipchat app for iOS, clicking a link brings up an in-app browser. In iOS 9.1, seen on the left, there's no option for third-party extensions. In iOS 9.2, seen on the right, there's support for third-party extensions like 1Password."

I'm still on 9.1 and I'm confused about the changes in the Safari View Controller with 9.2 as mentioned in the beginning of the article. I went into HipChat for iOS and tapped on a link. It loads up the in-app browser that emulates Safari. I'm not completely sure how the author got the submenu he has in the image above, but if tap on that in-app browser's Share button, I see a button for LastPass which is the password manager I use. This is in iOS 9.1, so I'm not sure what has changed in 9.2 Thanks for any help with this.

"iOS 9.2 also includes support for AT&T's NumberSync Wi-Fi calling feature, allowing AT&T users to accept calls on any device even when their phone is not nearby."

The improved WiFi calling feature "AT&T NumberSync" only works with AT&T post-paid accounts (i.e. contract based accounts). Prepaid accounts (i.e. AT&T GoPhone accounts) are not eligible for this feature. Of course this limitation is not mentioned by anyone writing a review, and only referenced in AT&T's small print. Bought an IPhone 6 AT&T unlocked model specifically to avoid contracts. Was hoping to use my iPad Air 2 & MBP for convienent phone calls - nope, I can scratch that iOS 9.2 benefit of the list - AT&T strikes again......

Then why did you switch from the Nexus 5 if it ran so much better than the 6+? You could have easily gotten the battery replaced if it was dying on you, much better than sticking with a phone that doesn't work for you.
