Edit: After clean install on iPhone6S Plus still horrendous lag when 3d touching an app in landscape orientation... sheesh apple :/

I don't really I get this. 3D Touch in my 6s+ is the same response time either in portrait or landscape.

What's worse is that I don't think the beta had the News Top Stories feature. The latest release does and we can't upgrade to it.

Yeah it was in the last beta. Or this release for that matter since they are the the exact same builds and there is nothing to "upgrade" to.

How do you get the Top Stories
I've been running this release since he beta was released and not seen Top Stories. It states available in the UK

Apps didn't crash in the first 5 minutes using 9.2. I guess it's a big improvement.

I believe it was a channel to add. Maybe Apple News Updates? If I recall I was prompted to add it just after the install and clicked it.

On the Dev Beta, in the USA. Just launched News, and it popped up with "Introducing Top Stories"

Is the channel named "Apple News Updates" after its installed? If so dbrose you can search for it and add it that way.

Hi. I find that channel and it shows this

Then further down says can add the channel directly and get the following

Mustn't be ready in the UK unless they just released it and I need to reboot.

Good to hear.. please keep me/us posted if possible. I am frustrated that 9.2 is basically beta 4. I also am experiencing just general weird sluggishness at times along with terrible battery life.

Gladly! I may PM you just to remember who you are. Apple is slow to respond.

I am experiencing stuttering and lag as well in all the ios 9.x releases, maybe it is placebo effect so far but I think the least on the 9.2. It was quite annoying in the start, ios 8.4.1 was working better most of the time, ios8 had stutter here and there but lot less than the ios9.
The best feature of the ios9 for me as a regular user was battery life (I don't care about other features believe it or no, search I don't use, back button as well, other gazillion features I don't know at all I am pretty generic email/phone/facebook/messaging user). So battery life allowed me to come home with 20-30% after whole day of the use, while before I needed to charge at the end of the day because there was no way my ip6 can last for a whole day.

So I am thinking there is maybe some kind of the trade-off, apple advertised ios9 will bring better battery life, but maybe ios9 is delivering fewer frames which is saving battery, and maybe causing all this stuttering madness.

I installed 9.2 on both my iPhone 5S and iPad Air and what a mistake. Now they both run like crap and are lagging big time. They both run like they are 9 year old bargain basement devices. I wished ai would of stayed with 9.1, they were running fine. What a mistake. Not sure what is going on with Apple but I wish Steve Jobs still ran it.

Nothing really seems to be going on as it doesn't seem that most others are experiencing what you are describing.

I can not agree more. Has anyone tried to 3D touch an app icon in landscape mode on the iPhone 6S Plus? It is like a 5fps animation... just horrific. How could apple ever release something like that?

It's crazy.
Even crazier, in landscape on Calendar it finally opens to "Add Event" while in portrait it goes straight to wiggle mode.

Not really. If beta 4 proved to be stable enough, that's what should be released. It's better than making changes that end up breaking things like in iOS 8.0.1.

It's lazy. If nothing else it allows differentiation between actual beta users and released users. It also says no last step optimizations were done before release.

Hey just saw on latest mr article it's called "News Top Stories". Search for that instead. Has a big T icon. I had forgotten that I removed it way back because it didn't ever seem to update and stuff was days/weeks old. Looks like they will update it now that it's released "a couple of times a day". Guess they weren't during beta.

If you think about it, if they changed what beta testers had been testing then more testing would need to be done.

I was on Beta 9.2 - is this just the last beta gone live? or did they not have a bridge release to get from Beta to live 9.2?
