Is anyone noticing that their Taptic Engine is behaving weirdly? The deep, flat haptic taps when you 3D Touch on an app in the home screen sometimes produces sharp, metal on glass type clinks. I thought this was a hardware problem (and apparently so did Apple) so I got my iPhone swapped out for a new one. It's still happening with the brand new phone.

Why are people so quick to swap out devices at the first sign of an issue? Read about it all the time. Only to see it’s not hardware it’s software. Does nobody test anything anymore?

Turn on your mute switch and you'll notice the sound goes away.

This is an intentional "click" sound. You can turn it off in Settings -> Sounds & Haptics at the bottom.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed when I unboxed my new 11 Pro, did all the updates/restores, etc. and plugged into my carplay and... still the LTE signal strength indicator does not update. How difficult can that be to fix? I realize in the grand scheme of things, it's a minor, cosmetic issue, but at this point, it's the principle of the matter. I'm just glad they know how to get the clock to update itself every minute or so...

Anyone else had issues with Bluetooth audio? It’s working now but for about 5 minutes just now I had connected to Bluetooth devices but couldn’t play audio. Will see if the issue happens again tomorrow.

Exactly. It is one of those things that Apple conveniently ignores when talking about fragmentation.

But that iOS12 update was for devices that don't support iOS13 devices.. How is that Fragmentation? That's Apple STILL supporting old devices thru security patches, not a fragmented OS path.

Yeah... they do ignore that. When iOS fragmentation occurs there's a "good" reason for it, but when it's Android fragmentation it is "bad". There are valid reasons for fragmentation, Apple doesn't acknowledge the legitimacy of Android's fragmentation.

The marketing angle of fragmentation is the sole reason for not allowing users to downgrade to a previous version of iOS (even when that previous version is still supported for devices that can't upgrade).

Android OS Fragmentation isn't Google's Fault. Android is released by the Phone Hardware Carriers, and they're the ones dragging their feet on providing updates to the phones.. Apple makes the hardware and software. And in this case they're still supporting phones that are over 5 years old. Most companies that support Android DON'T do this because they want you to buy another phone. Apple's releasing new phones AND still supporting old phones... Totally different scenario.

This thing bricked my phone. Im just getting an Apple logo with a spinning wheel.

Same here in an iPad Mini 5. Tried to force restart, update/restore via iTunes....... all end up in same place with black/spinning screen. Guess will be a trip to Apple Store tomorrow.

Update now - 13.1.1 is now finally near perfect for me, and slightly better performance all round on my 6S.

But there's no real reason to. I suppose most people will sooner or later, because iOS gets very noisy about the update you're not installing. Or there'll be some overriding security flaw that 13.x patches.

Is the update available to us beta users? I’m still on 13.1 beta 4 and I don’t see the update anywhere. Thanks
This is becoming embarrassing tell my folks , hey another update and another and another in the same week. Takes ages to update for them. Sloppy release as expected. It wasn't ready for release but they rushed it for the iPhone release.
I mean, iOS 13 is a MAJOR release with tons of features added. With a release like this, bugs are bound to happen. The software team is working around the clock to leave any legacy devices in running order, while ensuring that new devices can take full advantage of the software.

Doesn't appear to have to fixed an issue I'm seeing on my iPad Air 3: constant requests to re-enter my Apple ID password and my iPad passcode. Over and over and over. Anyone seeing this?
I was having this same issue on iPad Gen 5 and Apple TV. Had to enter Apple ID plus passcode. I will check later to see if 13.1.1 resolves this on iPad.

Let me know. After I updated my iPad, it asked once, and the stopped, so fingers crossed it's fixed.

Appreciate the feedback. I'm going to wait until a whole bunch more on this forum report the same. I don't really use iOS much since my iPad broke, but others in my house live or die by their devices and I'm not going to be the harbinger of destruction.

I just finished updating iPad and so far good but I will check again about 2 hour later just to make sure. I did the update yesterday when I experienced that issue and thought it was over and done with only to find out it appeared about an hour later. My fingers are crossed too and hope today’s update resolve it.
