In 13.2.1 it was overzealously killing apps in the background, but in my testing that now seems to be fixed in 13.2.2. Yay!

I don't really care about this fix. It did not affect me at all.

Much more serious, not annoying, but plain blocking, is the fact that hotspot does no longer work for a Windows-7 laptop since 13.2, and that can be a blocking problem. In my case, it prevents me from working remotely... So that is a real showstopper. And it is not solved in 13.2.2...

Another release another check if personal hotspot issue has been fixed....

I can confirm it is still not fixed. And it is a far more serious problem than this "RAM mgmt problem" that is mostly a minor annoyance for people that care about abstract concepts like "RAM management" instead of functionality...

Microsoft and stable in the same phrase? Lol 😂

It's not that Microsoft got better, they got worse. But the thing is Apple got much worse, much faster, to the point they make Microsoft look good, particularly on the neglected macOS platform.

What’s with all the complaining. Sheez they address problem with updates. Damn fast response if you ask me. Could be on Android and wait a year for update that comes only with new phone.

Does the Remote app work to control your iMac from your iPhone yet? Is there any other way to do this that I'm missing?

I waited a bit to comment on an ongoing “bug” in iOS 13. Has anyone tried replying to a message within the lock screen? If you have “previews” turned on “always” then you’ll be able to reply to a message from the lock screen...after typing a few words the box disappears & you’re left having to retype your reply when the device is unlocked. Not a huge issue but still an annoyance....

This is the first release of iPadOS that has made multitasking and slide over gestures and responsiveness as smooth and fast as it was in iOS 12. Wow, finally. They were so buggy, choppy, and unresponsive for me before this update.

They have more bloody things to fix for iOS 13,
After upgrade my iphone X to iOS 13, i have the following problems:-
1) My Safari doesn't sync across my devices (icloud problem)
2) Note App take almost a day to sync new note (icloud problem)
3) Mail App....I use hotmail accounts for my mail app. Now every Email I sent, it shows 2 same Emails in "Sent", but receiver only receive once. When I login to my hotmail account with PC only show once.

Apple today released iOS and iPadOS 13.2.2, updates to the iOS 13.2 software that was released on October 28.

The iOS and ?iPadOS? 13.2.2 updates are available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

iOS and iPadOS 13.2.2 are minor updates focusing on performance improvements and bug fixes for issues that were not able to be addressed in iOS 13.2 rather than major outward facing changes.

According to Apple's release notes, the update fixes an issue that could cause apps running in the background to unexpectedly quit, which led to background apps refreshing more often than normal. These frequent app refreshes of Safari, YouTube, and other media apps, led to multiple user complaints. Apple has addressed this problem in the iOS 13.3 beta too.

The update also resolves an issue where the iPhone could lose cellular service after a call, and it fixes a bug that caused cellular data to be temporarily unavailable. Apple's full release notes for the update are below:The release notes for the iPadOS 13.2.2 update are the same, with the exception of the fix for cellular issues. Apple has also seeded the first beta of an upcoming iOS 13.3 update that brings Communication Limits in Screen Time, and a toggle for turning off Animoji and Memoji stickers on the emoji keyboard.

TBH: Me thinks that the a vast majority of general public didn't really see an issue with the background refresh, and even members in this forum just jumped on the bandwagon with the torches out. Granted, many of the iOS "power user" base is likely to be here in this forum, so there was some legit complaints.

Glad to see they are addressing these issues in a timely manner

Remember there are more than “general public” using these devices as well - but not necessarily “power users”.

Anecdotally, this bug has cost a company I work with about $30k in direct labor and estimated $millions in opportunity cost.

But that’s the price of doing business sometimes so we just have to suck it up and do better...

From a personal perspective - I did lose data causing hassle, when forms refreshed unexpectedly in apps. Not terrible but enough to be noticeable.

I updated earlier and my phone is just not working properly. Apps are not loading data connected items, gps is all over the place, wifi is buggy, iMessage maybe works after a hard restart for a little bit. This is bizarre.

It seems like you have a account issue as I have upgraded my iPhone X to iOS 13 and then to 13.2.2 and I don't have any of these issues, just bad battery life, and the RAM issue, which, according to folks here and even Apple, has been fixed as of iOS 13.2.2,

I can’t update it keeps shutting down and they my phone becomes non responsive. I go back into setting to try again and it won’t do anything when I try to download it. Weird. 6s

Theorizing is fun and all, but simpler realistic information still ends up applying: the main reason for beta releases has been for developers to test their apps against them. Things were expanded to the public later on to get more logs and information from a larger variety of devices, configurations, and usage patterns.

Been drinking the Kool-Aid. No problem, that is expected in a free society.

One question, have you actually tested Betas for your own use or your company's use? Because if you have, then you know what a total waste of time it is. The only two exceptions that I can think of are a) that you are funded by a deity with lots of money and you can afford to assign a dozen people to try to figure out what Apple has changed, added, or deleted, and then redo it every couple of weeks or b) you have access to internal Apple information that allows you to productively evaluate the Betas. Most small developers don't have the time or resources to try and second guess Apple and its secrecy.

Of course, then there is the fact that Apple routinely releases new and changed functionality that was never present in any Beta. Large developers probably do use the beta for testing, but they probably could get the pre-release software by private agreement anyway.

Nope, Beta software releases are for marking purposes only. If the Betas were for QA and bug fixing then Apple would include release notes that had meaning and detail and respond to bug reports with fixes.
