Finished downloading it is installing now. hayyyyy!!! Can't wait to try it. I have been awake since 5 looking for this update. I could have been the first to post here but for some reason my ID here was not working.

I wish I could be as cool as you..

iTunes just finished putting it on my iPod touch. Now it's doing some weird thing to it. OMG, it just turned on. It messed up the order of my apps, for some reason. Oh well. Why is there a voice memos app on my iPod touch? It has a mic?

I think when iTunes restores all of your apps back it puts them back in alphabetical order. You have to rearrange them the way you want them.

Iran

I hear all the protests in Iran have stopped while people rush to update their iPhone software. North Korea has also stopped its Nuclear testing today. :)

Nice

iTunes was stuck at 18 mins for... 25 mins then I got an error 9006, now I am redownloading it and, FML... 5 mins remaining.

Got it halfway downloaded, then it timed out or something... (edit: the same error 9006 as the post above mine)

restarted the download and it says there are 6 hours remaining.

Ugh.

Done !!! :d:d:d:d

I'd still like to know what Apple meant by if you download the GM version that came out last week, it would lock your phone in test mode. Is that the same as debug mode, therefore slowing down the phone overall? Does the version that came out today remove that test mode lockdown, even though they are the same build?

If it still doesn't work for you then you can try using the direct links that were posted here a while ago.

You might have better luck with them.

apple's bugs with firmware updates remain lol managed to get my update for free from iTunes, others have been reporting that when they click the buy button it's just going direct to downloading without asking for payment.... read somewhere one person doesn't even have a card registered against their account..... wonder how much of a loss this bug will cost em

Don't think I'll bother getting the update for my touch. None of the new features seem worthwhile to me, I'll spend the £5.99 on apps instead!

Yea I started at 1:11 pm EST, still downloading. My school has to have some filters/capping for certain websites.

What I do is sync the ones I want on the first and second page first and then sync again the apps I want on the third page. Rinse and repeat.

Until Apple comes up with a page layout solution this will do.
