Because USB is 440 mb/s and 802.11n is only 54 mb/s.
USB 2.0 is not 440 mb/s, it's 440 Mbit/s or ~57mb/s. However you're right, real world throughput definitely give the edge to USB. USB 3.0 should be nice (3.2 Gbit/s)

Currently downloading (but won't install) the 3.1.2 update. I don't see an ipcc downloaded yet. I'd be willing to grab the carrier file update and install that on it's own. Anyone get a copy yet (5.6)?
Background syncing of appropriately sized objects whenever you're in appropriate range, surely?
Wow, and I thought it was just me. I have had these problems several times a day. I had nearly resorted to throwing my phone at a wall.
I'd also like just the 5.6 carrier file to update. My Griffin TuneFlex AUX SmartClick remote doesn't work with 5.5 installed. Who knows why, but it works with every other carrier file I've tried. So I want to try 5.6 and see if it works or not. Anyone care to upload it? Thanks.
Because only a very very small percentage of iphone users care about wireless syncing.
not true... I'm sure every owner out there would like to get their latest podcasts w/out being at their home computer
(yes, I know you can go to itunes and download them)

Perhaps the battery issues are to do with the intermittant issues with cellular coverage. If the phone is trying to search for the network more then perhaps the battery is draining quicker. Any thoughts?
Wouldn't wireless syncing still require you to be on your home network?
Yea, what about bluetooth though?
