Restart complete. Takes a while to install the updated... obviously since it's heavy.

This was the longest update since I've gone Mac. Even with mine only being ~150MB. Took about 10 minutes.

I have Early 08 17" and it's 500MB here. Do both of you have magic mouse? I'm thinking people with magic mouse already got some of the updates and it cut down some of the size but 300mb difference is too big for that. I wonder why.

No MagicMouse here. Now you've got me wondering...

Did it fix the new iMac issue?

It is supposed to fix the airport performance issue on the new iMacs.

Don't see the fixes list include the AirPort and Flash Player slow down problems in the new iMacs...
The fix list in the description is not the full list, just some subset. Over 150+ components were updated in this update, which could mean that there are far more than 150+ bug fixes.

I haven't got a magicmouse and mine was only this big:

This is on an iMac 8.1.

Oooh, there have been some rumours that 10.6.2 supports some advanced Mighty Mouse gestures, at least accessible by developers... wonder if there is any truth to them?

Did you really mean Mighty Mouse, or Magic Mouse?

Not that it matters ... Nothing for Magic Mouse - same options as pre-10.6.2. And nothing obvious new for Mighty Mouse either.

Great. Now when are they going to fix the sleep issues for the Macbooks? I have a late 2008 MBP that doesn't wake reliably and when it does, the mouse and keyboard are non-responsive. Seems to be a very common problem that has plagued MB users since 10.5.x. Apple knows about the problem. Why isn't it fixed yet??

OMG really?

Yes really!!. you can now get the backlight much lower than before. The 50% backlight level is now on tick 8 as it should be (istead of tick 1). The "Color LCD" profile has also been added (it was forgotten for some reason).

I still recommend the awesome color profile found in these forums though.

PS- Am I crazy or has the backlit keyboard light levels been worked on as well? Mine looks much brighter than before.

PLEASE stop with your insane fanboy comments on every single thread, it's killing me!

Back on topic: I didn't really experience any of the problems listed as fixed, but I do use a guest account sometimes so I'll just go ahead and download.

Please stop feeling so insecure about other peoples comments... Someone gets excited, let them be. Calling them fanboys just makes you look silly... and that's just killing us.

My experience was that MacBook Air (using a Magic Mouse) was a 500MB download and it was 157.5MB for Mac Pro (using Mighty Mouse). So doesn't look like it has anything to do with it ... not that there would have been that much of a difference for just Mouse S/W.

Glad to see they update pretty quickly. Can't say I had any of these issues on any of my Macs, but I'll apply anyway.

Would be interested to hear from an official hackintosh user using an Atom processor...

Would also be very interesting if the Security Update for Leopard ALSO breaks Atom compatibility.

Interesting. Software Update on my iMac (Mid2007) is downloading 499,9 MB, but the Combo Update is only 479 MB.

Tiger security update?

I don't see any Tiger security update?

Oh, that's right. You may have bought it brand new two years ago, but it's 'obsolete' today.
