Wonder if Atom support is gone? I do have a Dell Mini 10v with a fresh load of 10.6.1 on it so I might bite the bullet and try for giggles...

One more .1 update before i switchover

In the interim where is 10.5.9 Apple sheesh! :p

Yeah, the only difference is 10.5.1 wasn't as crippled as 10.6.1.

I'd say it was the other way around. True, 10.5.1 had no bug that wiped out user data, but Leopard had a ton of new features and there were problems with many of them until 10.5.2.

I don't see any Tiger security update?

Oh, that's right. You may have bought it brand new two years ago, but it's 'obsolete' today.

I didn't see a Leopard security update either, right?

It has been out of Beta stage for some time now.

Only nominally. From recent history, any OS X release prior to 10.x.2 should really be considered beta quality.

Hi All

Hope this fixes the kernal panics, that was the only real issue I had with SL :)

Letterbox for Apple Mail disabled

Dang it!

Widemail never got updated to Snow Leopard so I switched to Letterbox. Now 10.6.2 boots it out!

I was thinking of upgrading the OS on my Apple 2e from ProDOS to Snow Leopard. Think I should download this update?

(Of course, I have no modem for it, and my total ram is 64 kb, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it? Can anyone transfer this update onto 5 1/4" disks for me? Thanks.)

Lol, you honestly think that a couple of feature bugs are worse than losing pretty much every single piece of information on your hard drive? That's funny.

Are people actually considering skipping over this update, or wait for the next one altogether to upgrade to SL?? Really?

It's fixed the corruption in the Aperture Export dialogue, which was the only issue I personally had so I'm happy :D :apple:

downloading now, hopefully will fix some of the beachballing issues that have been happening with itunes n my iphone :)

There were bugs fixed in 10.6.1 also.

Who said 10.6.2 wasn't a good update?

Let the whiners be...I haven't had ANY issues since 10.6.0. As for this update process, NO problems whatsoever...all is up and running as usual...THANK YOU, APPLE!

Only thing I've wanted them to fix is the size of the freakin icons in the stacks when set to grid. They're HUGE!:mad::mad:

I hate them too earlier all my apps would fit now I have to scroll. Imagine how huge they are on the new 27" Imac.

Safari is snappier on all of my Macs (see sig.) :)

None of the issues really were apparent on my machines, but hopefully 10.6.2 will help those who did have problems.

i finished installing it 15 minutes ago. one thing i noticed was that the boot time was a bit slower than in 10.6.1. no major issues here though.

Awesome! GrowlMail screwed up again after 10.6.2.

same here as well. grr, and i just got it back working a few days ago after it being wacky for some time before upgrading.

This was the longest update since I've gone Mac. Even with mine only being ~150MB. Took about 10 minutes.

took me 15 minutes on a late 2006 macbook.

Some people do prefer to have a working system. But if you've already made the mistake, 10.6.2 is the only way to go.
