The update sadly blew away my Desktop and Documents folder, as well as any app data stored in iCloud. Been trying to get it to restore and work again with no luck. May have to resort to a backup of everything.
And I guess still no system wide Airplay2?
Apple today released macOS Big Sur 11.1, the first major update to the initial macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 operating system version that was released on November 12. macOS Big Sur 11.1 was released following four rounds of beta testing.

The new macOS Big Sur 11.1 update can be downloaded for free on all eligible Macs using the Software Update section of System Preferences.
There were no major new features discovered in the update during the beta testing period, but according to Apple's release notes, the new software adds support for AirPods Max, introduces a new Apple TV+ tab, macOS Big Sur is a major update that brings a full redesign to the Mac, along with new features designed for M1 Macs. When the Aqua interface was first released it was a mess. After a couple iterations the new Big Sur design will be refined.Does it fix that big mess of a UI?

This has happened to me too (M1 Mac mini). It's as though iCloud is not properly loading. I've restarted, and I'm going to restart again, then try signing out and back into iCloud. That was the same for me, too. Except Apple Support insisted I should copy the files over manually from a local "Archive" folder iCloud created when it was turned off. And now everything is screwed up with duplicates, things that weren't downloaded being overwritten in the cloud because the local version didn't have everything.So, this is strange and was worrying... but it's sorted now. Go to
System Preferences > AppleID > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Options... >
I'll bet "Desktop & Documents Folders" has been unchecked.
I checked the box, then restarted, and after a few minutes all the files and folders appeared again.
Unfortunately they all had to be downloaded again to the machine.
So that's not a good preference to get automatically changed during an update...
