Updating my Macbook early 2016 atm.
After the third, what looked like normal restart, I had to manually boot with the power button to progress

Is there a summary of capability that used to reside in iTunes and where it’s moved to? I.e., if you used to do this in iTunes, you now do it here... if you used to do this in iTunes, you can’t do it anywhere now.

Remember kids, 32-bit apps are NOT supported on Catalina.

Second correction: no, AAM, the application manager, is still 32-bit, even though the programs it manages are 64-bit.

Answer, yes, miraculously, they did.

Has Adobe updated those 32-bit installer/service executables that sit under the 64-bit programs
?

Like many people, I plan to hold off on Catalina for a while until I'm sure I won't miss 32-bit app support.

Does Apple continue to provide downloads for older OS's (e.g. Mojave) for a long period of time? I'm wondering how hard it will be if I need to install or re-install Mojave six or 18 months down the road.

It asked for the password about 5 times but then it worked.
Same here. On the 5th attempt, I had my iPad connected using sidecar and it asked for my iPad password. I wonder if that's what got me over the edge?

Luckily I didn't have to do anything drastic like sign out and in or reset keychain

Used beta 6 to the gm, erased the drive and everything, It's still trash :D. GM works like a beta and the beta builds were like pre alpha, it's that buggy. Stupid mail app popup still doesn't get fixed, keep asking "do you want to open" keep showing when using the vmware, Music app is worse than iTunes somehow with less functionality and somehow slower, it also lost my artwork in the process. The TV app is straight up garbage. Change the display profile of external monitor and then open the lid it resets. So yeah it's trash, trash like apple QA in the last 3 years

Sounds on par with the state of iOS 13.

When I tried downloading Catalina through the App Store from beta 11 I got this error after downloading. Guess we can't update to the final release if you're on the GM.

15.1 here we come!
Click On details under this Mac is Enrolled in the Developer beta program. Then click restart, Then do a software update. If you don't as you stated 15.1 here we come you if previous years are anything to go by you will start receiving betas for 15.1 etc

I’m sure Valentine’s Day is exceptionally frustrating too.

How many like myself are using a 32 bit version of PhotoShop?
You know, the pay once installed version that works great and needs no update which I use almost daily.
I won't be upgrading to Catalina because I won't be taking out a monthly subscription from Adobe.
Adobe must be over the moon about this update.

I'm ready to install Catalina.
